We always stay at Staybridge as much as possible whenever we travel because of their excellent service and comfortable facilities.

The kitchen with a larger fridge, dishwasher, dishes, etc. is a welcome sight for those longer trips away from home. The room layout was very practical & my favorite so far for this type of extended stay style room. Many comforts of home. Though there were some visible stains in the carpet & tears in some furnishings the room was thoroughly cleaned & overall in good condition. The sheets/towels were pristine, and the shower was in good working condition with strong water pressure. It was not a quiet environment mostly due to louder neighbors on the floor above which made it challenging to stay asleep. The bed was quite comfortable. Staff were courteous particularly the friendly breakfast staff. Two elevators were kept busy so waited longer than usual to get to/from our room from the lobby. Most notably, the area surrounding this hotel varies in its condition. There was a sign posted in the parking lot that said you park at your own risk & cameras are not monitored. This leads you to think the area may not be safe though we had no trouble during our stay.There is an active office building across the street but other office buildings & businesses nearby are vacant. Many other hotels occupy this general area but I dont think I would have wanted to stay in the majority of them right near here based on their external appearance alone. I was happy with my selection at Staybridge & would definitely consider a return visit.

Great location very close to many shopping and dining options. Within a reasonable short commute to the Indiana Dunes National Park and Deep River Waterpark. Room was clean and kitchenette in the room was convenient. The only problem was we had to ask for our trash to be changed in our room, and the little stovetop we had took a long time to warm up to cook our food.

A pleasant stay in a convenient location I would recommend it if you are looking for a hotel in the area!

The room itself looked exactly like the rooms I’ve rented previously. The couch in the room had a rimmed arm rest and cushion. There were spots on the couch that were clearly visible which should have been cleaned. I was not pleased with the room at all. No extra towel or washcloths were in the room. 1 extra room of toilet tissues was in the room. They wouldn’t allow me upon check in to have a late check out and told me to inquire the morning of check out which I did and was politely told no. Which made me wonder why if I’ve stayed here before and's was allowed to check it late upon my check in. Not sure if the price was even worth it.

This property is in a moderately bad area. I was told to stay in the hotel and not walk around and do not go into the nearby mall. The hotel was very clean, the room was huge. Bed and pillows were very comfotable. The night staff at the desk was nasty but the day and afternoon staff were lovely. Food was mediocre at best-glad it was free. Overall ok, but area is dicey.

The room was filled with the oil smell like somebody was frying fish or chicken. After one day I had to move, and that room was OK.

The staff and front desk service were great. Sadly, the room was not clean (soiled sheets, lots of hair in and around the tub, and there was a bug in the room). The breakfast was also bad (old eggs and potatoes), uncovered, and children were literally playing in it unattended.

This hotel is conveniently located in Merrillville. Plenty of parking, cozy fireplace in the lobby, comfortable bed, a little worn with the carpet and the bathroom tiles/floor in our room. What I especially appreciated about this hotel were the staff members that I interacted with. The staff here were probably some of the nicest, most professional hotel staff I have interacted with in a long time. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be at work and the breakfast team was SO NICE. They gave us a 15-min warning that they would be closing the breakfast area and told us that we could come through and get anything we might need before they closed. They weren't angry about it, just pleasant, patient, and friendly. I would stay here again if we are back in the area.
