This hotel is a little gem in the middle of Catania. The staff are professional, helpful and made us feel special. Hotel has interesting modern design, our room was huge. Breakfast was excellent. It maybe difficult to find it at first, our recommendation is to go to the exact address: #29. Thank you for making our stay in Catania so special.

We only stayed one night, but would definitely go back to Habitat hotel, and recommend it to others. It's a convenient short walk to the main cathedral piazza. Our room was spotless and we enjoyed a comfortable and quiet night's sleep. Stylish and friendly, if you're in Catania, check this place out.

The hotel and services were good. The surrounding area although within walking distance of many historic sites and city Center needs to be cleaned up. I’m sure at some point the Massimo Teatro square was a hot spot in Catania, however it is now run down and most people transit through the area to get from place to place.

Hotel felt like a hostel. No tea or coffee facilities in the room or at least 2 bottles of complimentary water. Breakfast was a strange set up with sharing tables and staff constantly buzzing around the food (refilling) which was not relaxing. Rooms were clean but dark.

Overall great experience. Great design, great staff, cool rooms. Highly recommended!

When I arrived and rang the door bell the receptionist greeted me with: you are too early. His tone was a bit weird, smiling but filled with contempt and I was 2h early, but I was understanding and totally fine with waiting. I sat down in the reception to charge my phone and drink some water with my luggage next to me. 10 min later and usher from comes to bring my luggage up. So I thought my room must be ready, but he told they were just prepping for my luggage to go in the room. I have diabetes and medicine in my luggage, that I needed to take. However I didn’t say anything as I thought, the room would be ready soon. After 40 min pass, I need my medicine. I kindly ask him again if the room is ready, since my luggage was taken up there 40 min ago. He tells me in a tone, that the room is not to be ready before check-in and that housekeeping can clean “around” my luggage and that he already verified with the cleaning team, that the room is not ready. At this point I have to tell him, that I need my to get my medicine. I don’t like causing attention to myself like that, but I needed accès to my luggage. He then says ok, your room is ready. I honestly can’t believe the attitude against a guest for a hotel with such high standards. It was not like I arrived 5 hours before check-in. He really wasn’t going to let me unpack my luggage and change my clothes 1 min before the official check-in time. I was sitting very calmly in the reception and waiting, 1 hour before official check-in

Amazing boutique hotel, walkable to many area sights and restaurants. The hotel has a Michelin star rated restaurant, make an advanced reservation. The complimentary breakfast was the best one I ate in all of Sicily!

Beautiful Room design with character, simple n spacious. Staff of Habitat very helpful n with good hospitality manner. The restaurant providing breakfast is nice environment, enjoy eating there. But, if a writing table is provided will be better. Also, its a bit noisy in morning when someone showering, the sounds of water tubes quite large.

Habitat was. Dry pleasant however, based on the price we would have expected a little more comfort items. A kettle with tea/coffee in the room would have been welcome. For a hotel hosting many international travellers the tv offered Italian channels only.

New hotel, excellently located for transport links and all of the major tourist attractions in Catania. Breakfast was a great change from other ones we had experienced during our Italy trip with a focus on local foods. Friendly and helpful staff.

this place is a scam, the day we arrived to the airport there were last min airline strikes for Italy, we asked to re-book for the next wkend, we sent the flight cancel conf and they said "no, not out problem, your problem"...this is where the mafia in Catania operate, if you like your money then don't give it to them, them will asume it and you, there are many better places and many better people to spend your money with, not these theives and crooks.

The hotel and parking are really hard to find. The area is noisy and the hot water was almost nonexistent. We also had ants in our bathroom. The breakfast was good and the staff was not nice.

There were multiple problems with Habitat. First, we were given an attic room on the 4 th floor, The room was horribly designed. There were no windows, the shower was across from the bed so that when you used it the room filled with moisture. The room lacked a closet. It contained 2 cheap luggage racks and a rail to hang clothes on next to the bed. What made the room really terrible was that 5 of the lights in the room were not working. This included the 3 lights in the room itself, the light in the toilet room and the light in the shower. We talked to the man at the desk about the situation and he said that he would do something about the light situation. Nothing happened. We complained about the lack of light the next morning to the woman at the desk, enumerating the dead light bulbs. She said that she would address the problem.Still later that day nothing had been fixed and we spent the evening in the room in the dark. We left the hotel the next morning. This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. We spent two weeks in Sicily and every other hotel we had stayed in had been lovely.

The restaurant was excellent for dinner and for breakfast, with a focus on locally sourced products.

The plus for this property is the helpful and courteous staff and the fabulous breakfast. However, they cannot make up for an ill conceived layout and difficult key system. For example, the outlet for the hairdryer was so far from the mirror that you could not see yourself in the mirror while drying your hair. The modern shower looks stylish and has good water pressure, but the water overflows if you take more than a short shower. The overall layout is just awkward. The location is convenient. For the money, they should do better.

Great hotel and location

Very nice hotel with great location. The receptionists were so helpful and provided us with so many tips on exploring Catania. Room was very clean and breakfast nice too. Would stay here again. We parked our car nearby with Easypark which was cheap.
