We drove 2 hours to stay at the Vandivort and see Big Head Todd and the Monsters at the Gillioz Theater. The experience made Monday a whole lot better!

Service was great, room was large and clean and you can’t beat the location if you want to be downtown. We enjoy concerts at the Guillioz theater built in 1926, not a bad seat in the house. The V is our go to hotel as it’s only a 4 minute walk to the theater. Great people!

Amazing staff! From check in to housekeeping! Have stayed here several times but this time stood out as exceptional!

Rude staff, no help, gave misleading info about car rental. My husband had to return it to MGM late at night. Never will come back

Everything was great

The stay was decent but we were in the second building which to my understanding was the new building. We have stayed there before and the airflow is terrible and we had hoped that it would have been fixed but wasn’t. The hotel is on the high side for price and doesn’t deliver on the price.

This was my second time staying in this hotel and it was amazing. Our room had a record player in it which we got a kick out of. Staff was kind as always.

This is the most unique property I have ever stayed in. The architecture and design are very unique. They have done and outstanding job in the renovation of these two historic buildings. The designer did an excellent job in the interior with very unique artwork and finish. The hotel is very quiet and the beds are great. Unfortunately we did not get to take advantage of the rooftop bar. If my wife and I were returning to Springfield, we would only consider Hotel Vandivort for our lodging. My wife and I both loved it.

Didn’t offer a free continental breakfast.

Room was not cleaned well. Hair in bathroom from previous guest and fixtures in room and bathroom have not been cleaned/dusted in quite some time. Also, dust bunnies under the chair in the corner of the room.

The Hotel Vandivort was a great place to decompress after a long day. I thoroughly enjoyed the amenities like the free coffee and tea, as well as the luxurious robe. The sound system in the room was wonderful, as well. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

The Hotel Vandivort is nice on the inside. The room was clean and decorated well. The bed was very comfortable. The shades on the window did not stop light from coming through at all. The surrounding area of the hotel was uncomfortable to walk next door to a restaurant so I are at the bar/restaurant in the hotel. I felt worried about my vehicle being broken into overnight. The area felt unsafe.

The V is a great place to stay! The hotel being modern was very nice to see. The staff is friendly and the look and feel of the hotel are all great. I am someone who travels a lot and stays very frequently at different t hotels. For Springfield this hotel is the very best you can find. However, the parking is horrible and is not clear where it’s okay to park… no big deal though. Not a deal breaker. The V has two buildings - we stayed in the V2 suite. Again, great presentation and feel. One thing that was disappointing was the level of cleanliness on a daily basis. You expect for the previous nights silverware and dirty dishes/trash to be removed, floor vacuumed, furniture tops wiped down. This did not happen… we even found trash from the previous guest under the sink on a trash can. This is a beautiful property, and I’m sure this happened because the folks they hire to clean rooms are kids. With a little better oversight of the cleaning crew, this place is by far the best in Springfield. Unfortunately for me, I’d rather stay someone less flashy as long as it’s properly cleaned. Was really just basic things that one could see as being a real problem long term. Other than that- lived everything else!

Located in heart of downtown and very close to other attractions.

This Hotel is Beautiful! We had a V2 Suite and it was AWESOME... very clean... spacious... bed was comfortable...bathroom was great... duel sinks.. walk in shower.. sink in room... microwave.. refrigerator... 2 TV's... living room.. Balcony... staff was also great and friendly... gave us good recommendation for lunch... if we're passing through Springfield... we will definitely stay here again... highly recommend this Beautiful hotel!

Splurged on a V2 Balcony Suite — so disappointed! Stayed here before in the main building and been impressed. Paid over $300 for 1 night. Didn’t realize the V2 Balcony Suite was in a different building. Checked in and was directed out the back door through a rundown alley/parking lot to another building. Upon entering the suite, was greeted by run down furniture that looked like it had (barely) survived a fight. Everything was dirty and dusty. Opened the balcony doors around midnight to find people below on the picnic table that were obviously tweaking. Gave up on using the balcony and went to bed. Will not be back.

Room was down below and was constant chairs being scooting along the main floor all night in the main lobby! Could hear people talking from outside the window till 3:30 in the morning! Wouldn’t ever recommend anyone staying in room 103 at this Hotel

Good sized room with nice bathroom. Nice restaurants on site and plenty more in walking distance. Some noisy drivers circling the block on a weekend night thankfully cake it a night around 11.

I love Hotel Vandivort. It’s a great spot in an excellent location in downtown Springfield. The only reason for the 4 star review is due to the insane car/motorcycle noise at nights on the weekend. I get that it’s not the hotel’s fault for this, but since it disrupted sleeping, it needs to be stated. Cruising is alive and well in downtown Springfield. Just be warned.

We celebrated our 40th anniversary with a weekend in Springfield and loved our stay at Hotel Vandivort! The hotel was beautiful and our room was luxurious!! It made our celebration even more special and memorable. We stopped in at the Vantage and absolutely loved the rooftop lounge experience. We will be back!!
