My husband, myself and our daughter stayed for one night on Monday December 9th in a 1 bedroom suite. This was our 3rd or 4th time staying at the Village Suites as we’ve also stayed at the Westin a few times previously. This was by far the worst customer service we have received at check-in. I checked in at 5pm and there were two receptionists checking in 4 different parties ahead of me and I stood in line for 15 minutes while the Duty Manager, Des, sat at a computer right behind them clearly just doing ‘busy work’ and purposely avoiding making eye contact with people waiting or assisting their staff or guests whatsoever. For the marginal difference in cost of staying at the Westin that is where we will be staying going forward which is a shame because we like the location and the rest of the staff at the Village Suites more in general. However, to have a manager be the one who is giving terrible customer service sets a bad tone for the rest of the staff and trip for guests. Very disappointing.

Overall we had a great experience. Check in was quick and easy and they even let us check in about an hour earlier which was nice. Front desk was very helpful and they provide you with a phone number you can text throughout your stay with any questions. The room was clean and spacious. The kitchenette was a huge plus. The location was perfect. Right in the village so we didnt have to use our car at all. We just walked to everything we wanted to do. The hotel also offers free outdoor parking or paid underground parking which was really nice to have the option. We will definitely be back.

Place is good

We were upgraded to another building. It was so much better!!

The unsupervised hockey team that was running around and very loud between 7 and 11, was quite annoying. Security came twice. Other than that, it was a great night away.
