Reception team and restaurant staff are very friendly and helpful

Staff were really helpful and attentive, rooms clean and attractive and breakfast was excellent

Everyone from reception to housekeeping was polite and said hello. Nothing was an issue. One of the best hotels we've stayed in.

Second time of using this hotel for the Christmas Markets. Great location to tour the city. Exceptional service from all the staff. Brilliant room.

The staff were amazing and certainly added to the stay. Breakfast was great too. I would recommend the hotel consider a thicker mattress topper as that certainly would have helped as you can feel the gap between the beds and the mattress is a very hard one, not used to that and the pillows were very lumpy and not too comfortable either. But apart from that the hotel was lovely. Fantastic location. The staff are the star of the hotel for sure

My stay was very comfortable

Great hotel, very convenient without being too close to noise pollution, lovely staff. Only slight complaint was from my husband who said the full English breakfast wasn’t the best but the continental part was lovely so I was ok!

Spent two nights at the Indigo Hotel York. Had a lovely break with my wife and enjoyed spending time in the hotel which was in a good location for exploring the town.

Always great service, missing kettle which we raised on the first day, never replaced for the 5 days we were there, however there was an offer of bringing tea, very dusty in couch room which set off allergies. Last 2 visits were spectacular so kind of disappointed this time

Disappointing in comparison to other Indigo hotels. Good locatio, comfy bed and good staff but spoilt by: Lack of storage in room, nowhere to hang coats when travelling in winter months First time I have stayed in a hotel where there were no biscuits on the drinks tray. Water wasn’t replaced after first day. There was no plastic shower mat in the shower cubicle, we did ask for one but apparently there are only two in the hotel and they were being used. This made taking a shower very dodgy for us as was slippy. Heating would only turn down to 18 which meant the room was too hot for us. We left the window open but struggled to sleep as all the air conditioning units were directly below the room making a noise all night plus staff were wheeling bins around below are room and singing at 7am in the morning. We did ask if there was an alternative room but apparently not. Shame about all of these things as as I have already said the staff were lovely, the hotel was in a good location.

Nice little spot not too far from the centre. Comfortable and characterful rooms. Good facilities and excellent breakfast. Staff polite, helpful and friendly would recommend and stay again.

We thought the hotel was good, modern and very attractive inside and the staff were very helpful. Good position to walk into town and visit the places of interest close to lots of local eateries with lots of variety of different cuisine to choose from. We were very disappointed with the meal we had on the first night in the hotel bar. It might well have been a microwave meal from the supermarket!!! Disappointingly the full English cooked breakfast in the morning was dried out, over cooked and parts of it were cold when it arrived, then had to wait for the toast. So totally unacceptable. The cold buffet was very good with a nice selection of fruit and savory, foods on offer. The tea was like dishwater, weak, tasteless and not very hot?? We did not eat another evening meal in the hotel, and avoided the cook breakfast the next day.

Short break in York to meet friends who traveled from a different city. Hotel was very welcoming and in a great location to explore the city, although very quiet during the night. All the staff were very customer friendly and extremely helpful. The room was comfortable with a great shower, hot drink facilities, a fridge and a small safe. Breakfast included hot and cold options, was efficient and the service from the breakfast team was excellent.

Room was comfortable. Near enough to centre of York. We did have some noise from a room next door which was marked private on the door. My beef was at check in. Why was £50, yes £50 taken as deposit? I had paid in full before arrival. Did I get it back when I checked out? No they took another ££50!! It has been returned now 2days later.

Beautiful hotel, very clean and beautiful decor. Great location. Staff were prompt, friendly and the whole hotel had a great atomsphere We really appreciated the personal extras, such as the chocolate bar i thd room.

Great place to stay convient location. Very clean and helpful staff. 4 stars because the "parking" fills up and no validation offered to park elsewhere. We didn't try their breakfast because it was what i considered expensive £20. The booking price is also for one person...we got charged for an extra person because we had 2...thought that was totally ridiculous. Otherwise great saty.

Staff are friendly and very helpful an asset to the hotel . Car park charges a bit steep as car park was poorly maintained .

V cental, great location, within walking distance of the station, tourist attractions, and restaurants. Rooms, clean, beds comfortable. Staff excellent, v helpful. Breakfast excellent, no lunch required!! Wld definitely stay again.

When I arrived there was a pack of water opened in the fridge in my room which made me question the cleanliness of room as this had not been checked. There is a do not disturb sign and a green (do not change towel) sign but no sign to request room to be cleaned ! My room was not cleaned, bed not made and only 1 bath towel, hand towel and bath mat left outside - 2 in room! These matters were resolved when raised, however, this should not have been an issue.
