ARRIVED THE ROOM WAS FILTHY , NOT BEEN CLEANED FROM LAST CUSTOMER , PUT ME IN ANOTHER ROOM THERE WAS NO HOT WATER .SENT TO THE BAR BUT NO STAFF SO A QUEUE OF PEOPLE WAITING FOR DRINKS AND FOOD . ONLY 1 GIRL DOING EVERYTHING. I HAS TO THEN AT 7.30PM LEAVE AS NO ROOM FOR ME AND FIND ANOTHER HOTEL . ID BEEN ON THE ROAD SINCE 3.30AM WORKING IT WAS A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE ..... PROMISED A CALLBACK BUTH RUTH COULD NOT BE BOTHERED . DO NOT GO HERE ITS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD USING A HOTEL . I WILL NOW HAVE TO LEGALLY GET MY REFUND

The room was lovely and the shower, in particular, was exceptional: strong water pressure and quick hot water. The most impressive part of our visit was the staff. Every single employee we encountered was friendly and willing to help no matter how crazy our request was. Ruthie, You ROCK!

I greatly dislike returning to the Home Counties but this small, comfortable and friendly hotel made the pain bearable. The room was spacious and comfortable and everything worked, the staff were for most part welcoming and helpful. I had only two very minor observations to make: no USB points in my room and the piped music at breakfast was excessively loud. These as I say were small niggles and I would happily return should I need to make another visit to the area.

Really nice hotel/ pub, stayed here before a few times, always good food, clean and tidy rooms etc. I stayed in a different room this time which seemed to be above the kitchen which was really noisy especially early in the morning 6 am on when the extractor fan comes on. Also room service making a noise earlier than I've ever had in any hotel. I mentioned this on checkout but the person I spoke to just agreed with me. Anyway, will stay here again, nice place.

Could be great with more attention to some issues. When we arrived the room was freezing as the window was left open, supposedly for covid reasons (only needed to be opened for 20 mins), heating in the room was off and fiddly to get working, and the heating in the bathroom was not working at all (confirmed later). Went down for dinner later and ordered a veg Thai green curry. Should be mild and with complex flavours, but it was so hot (capsaicin) that it wasn't possible to taste anything. Let the waiting staff know. The other meal was quite nice.

Everything about my stay was excellent. Friendly staff (who couldn't do enough for me), beautiful contemporary room, amazingly comfy bed and spotlessly clean. I cannot recommend enough! 🙂

Really nice pub, great food and friendly staff. Can get busy in the bar as they are popular, struck me that there were no covid precautions in place, no face covering, social distancing etc, was a little uncomfortable because they were so busy....appreciate that it's not law anymore. Would stay again.
