Clean, comfortable, delicious buffet breakfast. Great value

The stay was super cozy and quiet. The room was clean and the TV was in working order. Breakfast was great and the breakfast staff were lovely.

Beautiful hotel! Rooms are so comfortable and beds are great! Wish we could have stayed longer. Its a beautiful area with so much to do. Hope to visit again and stay longer!

What a great find! This inn was charming, quiet and just lovely. Yes, it's an older building, but it was much more inviting than a budget chain hotel. It's true what others have said about the breakfast. It was fantastic. There was soothing background music playing, rather than televisions blaring the latest awful news or weather. The breakfast tasted homemade, not like the standard eggs from a box. There was no waffle maker for people to stand around waiting to use, instead there were tasty pancakes. And, the staff was friendly and helpful.

Booked a Superior 1 Bed King Room for just over a week. Enjoyed it very much. Great staff. Bed was comfortable. Showerhead was plenty high enough, but water pressure was low. Poor lighting around the bathroom mirror, behind a translucent mirror edge, looks dramatic but doesn't work well when trying to shave or apply makeup. Room was quiet. WiFi was slow. Normal fridge - no risk of accidentally freezing lettuce and such. Hotel breakfast was pretty much the same every day, but was good. Real cooked eggs. Plenty of variety. Pretty good coffee. Afternoon tea and cookies were fun, but have to be back in time to get them. Lobby area was nice place to hang out. Plenty of comfortable seating and tables. Some board games are available. No accommodation for smoking anywhere outside, but there's an interesting community garden and a park right next door, which are great for a walk. Great location, right by a couple main roads and just a short drive to anywhere we wanted to go in the area.

The room and bathroom were clean. I slept on the let side of the bed and the sheets were clean. This morning I pulled the covers back on the right side of the bed and there were about six hairs on the sheets.

Wonderful stay with a friendly and helpful staff! Upon arrival, its Tudor-style looks so charming and inviting. I liked the nostalgic, old world entrance but appreciated the more modern, updated rooms which were very clean and sleek. I can’t wait to stay there again!

Hotel was perfect for my needs. Clean and quiet. I was in a room across from elevator and could hear it each time it moved so 'd advise asking to be away from elevator and parking lot. Some reviewers rave about the breakfast but I found it to be, at best, on the low end of average. The hotel hallways showed need of paint and the decor in lobby was dated but clean.

I had to have surgery yesterday so I came up to stay since its closer to the hospital. First time I had ever heard of the Inn. My brother has to come have procedures done at UVA also and I told him what a wonderful place it is to stay at. I will most definitely be back. Thank you for such wonderful atmosphere, customer service, breakfast was amazing

Check in was so bad that we felt unwelcomed to the property. Check in person was very unpersonable, curt, and mean. She was even wearing only a white shirt. She also refused to extend a little accomodation when told that we have 2 reservations and if she can check us in for the 2nd one. I was told to check out then check in again. This woman does not deserve to work in the front counter.

The staff were friendly. The room was not decorated. Sheer drapes missing. Sofa uncomfortable. No window in the living room. Quiet and confortable bed. Next time wood book a king room. Skip the expense for a suite great location

I have started staying here frequently. Seems to be a favorite for some travelers. It is a Inn from a by-gone era, but still a good stay.

Check-in went well with afternoon cookies offered to guests. Everything was great till I tried to go to sleep. The hotel is near a main road in Charlottesville. You can hear loud trucks, motor cycles and sport cars driving by. I had a hard time falling asleep.

The hotel itself was absolutely charming! Definitely not your run of the mill box hotel. The only glitch was at check-in the girl had the personality of a potato. I mean she could not crack a smile for the life of her and was just totally flat. Not a great image as a first impression. The hotel itself was very clean there was no odors anywhere the pool was beautiful even though we did not use it and the location was great! Would definitely stay here again!

The person at the check in desk could have smiled. It would have felt more welcoming. There is sticky candy stuck on carpet near beds so hesitant to walk bare feet. Beds were comfortable.

Stayed here for a tournament with our team, do NOT recommend for a group of kids. Not a kid friendly atmosphere, front desk jumped on the kids for any sound they made (this was late afternoon/evening not late at night). Even in the closed off pool area, where they were by themselves with no other guests. They were being respectful and not overly loud compared to many stays we’ve had elsewhere with much louder guests at all hours of the night. Room was also musty and had an awful smell. Housekeeping came knocking twice on day of checkout before 10am to see if we had left, and entered the room uninvited with their keycard as I was answering the door. Check out is supposed to be 11 but be prepared to leave earlier.
