Friendly staff with brand new looking hotel. Only complain I have is the breakfast choices. They have an enclosed garage for parking, place is easy to access from Kotor. Good restaurant choices nearby.

The property was promised as a 300 year old chateau, however, when one thinks of a chateau, one doesn’t imagine broken A/C and heating or a tidal wave on windy and rainy off season days. Not only did we have to leave the property as we weren’t comfortable or felt safe, but the manager refused to provide a refund based upon the weather conditions and impact only to this hotel.

Fantastic hotel. The room was charming and lovely. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast was delicious.

This property is beyond phenomenal. Fabulously decorated. New, clean great location with spectacular view. Staff was so friendly and helpful. We arrived too early for check-in so we parked our car underground and left the key with them as requested. We proceeded to do sightseeing and when we returned we were shown to our room where our bags had already been brought up from our car. It is located a bit away from the old town on the other side of the bay which is an 8€ taxi to the old town. I recommend leaving your car and taking the taxi or you can walk which is about 35 minutes. This side has a spectacular view of the mountains and we had a sea view room which was worth it. Hotel has a beautiful private sunbathing dock for tanning and swimming as well as a pool on top. We could see the cruise ships pass right by our room. Breakfast in the morning was beautiful and had everything we need. I rate it 10 out of 10 and highly recommend.

A truly beautiful, boutique hotel. The service we received was incredibly friendly and helpful. There are a few restaurants nearby, however it's only a short taxi ride into Kotor old town. We only stayed for 1 night and I wish we'd stayed for longer!

I wish I could rate them with a triple full happy face! The hotel only has 10 rooms so everything feels like they go above and beyond for you. No matter if you are only asking for a recommendations for where to eat, if you are ordering a cocktail, the personnel is so friendly, the facilities are clean, breakfast and cocktails were really good; you can have your breakfast literally next to the sea... I cannot recommend this place enough, you feel so relax and peaceful!. If we ever come back to Montenegro, we will definitely look for a room in Libertas before even go somewhere else.

I strongly recommend staying in Hotel Libertas. Everything is meticulously maintained from hotel amenities, service to the interiors! The view from the window is just breathtaking, something worth dying for. The staff is very professional and helpful. The breakfast is homemade of authenticity and sincerity by a very nice local lady. Personally, I feel like living in a castle and being treated as a queen. The building has a history of 300 years old but it was recently renovated in absolutely beautiful and artistic fashion with the touch of locality and characters. I would say this is above 5 star rating and more like a high end boutique hotel. The only potential drawback is that the hotel is situated on the other side of the bay, which is opposite to the old town. However, getting a taxi for a less than 10 mins ride (5-7 euros) to the old town is a perfect solution for it. It remains the advantage of being private, quite, peaceful and also not inconvenient. The hotel was the highlight of my visit to Kotor.

Do not be decieved by the hotel photos, as we were. The property is directly on the road with a speed bump at each end. The result is that the bedrooms are noisy all night long as cars slow down, bump over, and then accelerate. No sleep at all. We booked 3 nights but had to leave after 1 night of no sleep. We did not get any refund. Beach area was very small and bottom steps into the water very slippery with green algea.

Wow, what a view! Stunning location and excellent apartment with 2 rooms which was perfect for our family. The staff were so helpful, they could not do enough for us.

A wonderful relaxing stay in a fantastic location. Staff could not have been more helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay so enjoyable. Although a little further out from Kotor the hotel provided a welcome break from the hustle and heat of the old town. Breakfast spread was very varied and lovely to try some of the local specialities. Would thoroughly recommend this place for a charming and restful holiday.

Location and hotel absolutely stunning! Managed to totally relax and had a fantastic time darting between the beach front and pool! Staff were very friendly and catered to our every whim… local restaurants were just a short walk and enjoyed some very pleasant evenings. Kotor a short taxi ride if you need to see a more hectic side… Speed boat trip was really good, part of the hotel! Negatives: Pool closes at 2000hrs which was unfortunate as a dip in the evening was lovely on the first couple of nights! Never mind we swam in the Boka (bay)

Pros: pool, bay view, beach access, breakfast good (needs fruit!) Cons: staff slightly rude when being asked for help in special circumstances outside standard roles. Room booked as “sea view” when it actually was a window with some view of the sea only when standing up in the middle of the room.

Absolute gem of a hotel, peaceful with amazing views and the staff were super friendly. A 10 min taxi or 45 min walk around a stunning lake takes you to kotor old town. Breakfast was great so much choice.

The absolute best. Do not look any further. If you come across this place book it without a secind thought. Excellent location, wonderful staff, Delicious Breakfast. An amazing view outside and the best kept hotel room . There is not even the tiniest fault to find.

Amazing hotel, highly recommended

Our stay was very comfortable. The service was outstanding and the amenities were wonderful. The view was unlike anything I’ve ever seen before and it was very nice to have both the bay and a swimming pool, kayaks and bikes at our disposal. I would highly recommend!

A comfortable and well run boutique hotel in a fantastic location on the shores of the Boka Kotor. Charming, attentive staff and a breakfast to set you up for a day on the private terrace with steps down into the water, or by the pool, or sightseeing in nearby Kotor, a world heritage centre.
