My wife and I stayed at this hotel twice within a week, over two weekends from September 7-9 and September 13-15. Unfortunately, our experiences were a clear example of inconsistency and lack of care from the hotel management. During our first stay, the experience ranged from average to good, despite issues with room assignment and the poor condition of the rooms. However, our second visit was chaotic. We were given a room without air conditioning, and the only solution offered was a small fan. The toilet paper holder was broken, and the door lock was damaged. Additionally, the restaurant staff during breakfast were rude and unpleasant. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel, not even to my worst enemy. Consider this hotel as your last option.

Overall easy and simple place to stay. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Suggested some excellent dining options nearby. Room had A/C but did not circulate the best. Conveniently located near shopping center and behind primary restaurant alleyway. Parking is at City Hall so a short walk from property.

Great stay! Fantastic location, nice rooms, plenty of food options, inside and outside of hotel. Front desk was very helpful. Beds are great.

This is a very nice hotel! The surrounding areas have a lot of nice restaurants and bars. I would recommend make some improvements in the rooms. At least the one that we had some minor issues with the painting.

Great location

Only thing which bothered me was that the air condition was automatically switching off every two hours and I had to call them all night long every two hours to don't switch it off but was of no use. This is very surprising that Guest in the room and they are switching off the air condition. I told the front desk in the morning but my night sleep was interrupted and was very uncomfortable. I hope they look in to this.

Location gives easy access to South Mall area. Hotel was clean, room had in-room AC. Food from hotel restaurant was delicious. Parking isn't the easiest, several parking decks nearby.

Paid parking is about 2 blocks away. Very convenient to restaurants and shopping.

Maldron is the perfect hotel for your next stay in Cork. It's location is perfect, walkable to the shopping areas and to most brunch places. I highly recommend staying here!

Very nice spot in a grand location!

My stay was good. The only issue was that the room was hot and the air conditioner turned off often and I woke up 3 or 4 times during the night to turn it back on. Probably wouldn’t stay again because of this issue.

Nice, apart fire alarm went 3am, somebody smoked in the room😴

This hotel is in a good area for shopping, pubs and dining. Driving through the area for the first time is challenging and parking is inconvenient. There is no on-site parking and street parking isn’t readily available, even for dropping bags at times. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in could use some attention in the bathroom. Mold growth in shower and the door trim in bathroom was peeling paint from water damage. Hotel was good otherwise.

Hotel was clean and nice. Staff was very friendly. Parking is an issue because the car park is across the river and not completely comped.

Beyond my expectations. Absolutely beautiful. Grand suites that are clean and secure. Also being able to walk about the center of South Mall within a short distance of the hotel is amazing as well!

My receipt from hotels.com said executive room - 1 kind bed. The bed was a double. Desk said they didn’t know which rooms have king beds some are “slightly” smaller. Fortunately, we can sleep on any size but this could be a problem for others. It was definitely a double as we have a queen at home. They gave us breakfast one morning. I didn’t say anything until we had settled in and didn’t want to move. Hotels and Maldron need to fix this. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay, breakfast is worth the money, location is great and room was nice

A/C blew out small pieces of insulation all night. Construction going on directly across the street - started at 6 am. (No one informed us of that). Otherwise nice hotel - staff was good.

Great hotel in perfect location

Loved the location with all of the restaurants and shops nearby. Room was a good size, comfortable and quiet. Lobby was a bit chaotic but it all worked.

Nice hotel with friendly staff

Very convenient location. Walkable city. Lots of restaurants and shops in the area. You can walk from the train station to the hotel in about 14 minutes. The hotel is nice, clean and quiet at night. Amenities are great. We enjoyed the stay here.

Room was a little bit dirty. Our keys kept deactivating because the staff was only giving us ‘1 night keys’ even though we were there for multiple nights. Our room was above the kitchen and smelt like fried food every night

Hotel located in the city center. Helpful and smiling staff. Very comfortable bed. The only problem is parking which is quite far away and not included.

Room was neat and modern albeit small. Not much storage; good bath. Very noisy, could hear everything around us. Room refreshed only once, but good overall. No “view” as expected. No onsite coffee shop but breakfast buffet up to standards. Would stay again.
