The property is unique. Tucked into the side of the Plaza. Good central location. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was simple but very tasty. I recommend it if you are looking for an out of-the-ordinary hotel experience.

The location is great to the old city of Naples. Near restaurants and sites and transportation. There are many stairs to get up to your room and must have numerous keys to get through different doors. It is bed and breakfast and not a hotel. If those things don't bother you than the location and room was great.

Foro Carolino is an outstanding place to stay. It has huge spacious and well furnished rooms which seem like a palace compared to other places to stay. It is very clean and well kept. While it’s not in a location with big signs, the staff makes sure you have a smooth check-in experience by contacting you before hand and giving you detailed instructions. Check-in was a breeze for us. The bed and pillows in the room were very comfortable and there was no street noise. In addition to soundproof windows, they have wooden inner-shutters which you can easily close which blocks out light and sound. We did not get a chance to sample their breakfast since we left every morning of our stay before breakfast.
Now as far as downsides, there is no elevator so you have one floor of stairs to deal with. Additionally there is a children’s ballet school on the floor above. So during daytime hours, there can be sounds from the school. Since the sounds of the ballet school was during daytime hours, we were not bothered. During sleeping hours, the room was virtually silent.
If we ever venture back to Naples, we’ll stay at Foro Carolino.

Having stayed in thousands of hotels. Boutique style. Etc. Never did a B n B. Yet it was magical. Francesco having owned it in the family for 200 years was like being sharing his home grand beautiful BIG convenient great great host well appointed very clean incredible staff service and amazing experience

The location was great as it was steps from the metro. The hosts could not be any more helpful. The Continental breakfast was amazing. Would definitely stay again

Can not say enough about the beauty of the hotel or the wonderful host, so accommodating. Piazza Dante is the perfect location to the entire city. Second visit and we will return again next year.

Naples in general is fairly rundown but this hotel was great. It can be a bit hard to find but once you find the giant green gate it’s all good. The staff was wonderful, the breakfast was delicious. Loved the Ferragamo products and the slippers. They had Netflix and a high end blow dryer. Loved our stay and would stay again!

Absolutely wonderful! We love Naples, but it can be a challenging city. Foro Carolino is an absolute oasis of calm. It clean, comfortable, well run and the people are extremely nice. When we return to Naples, we would not even consider another hotel.

Had a wonderful stay at Foro Carolino. The hotel is in a prime location of Naples, and the hosts/owners were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Great place to stay but you need to know that you can't sleep during the day because of ballet classes on the next floor. Also the air condition work only for hit and there is a lot of noise outside so you cant open the windows..

The service is great, but it’s difficult to recognize the hotel from the beginning, because no sign outside the building

It was a great stay, there were only two things to be aware of . The hotel itself is very difficult to find, if there was a picture of the outside of the building it would've made it a lot easier to find. Also, if you plan on traveling during the fall/early winter, it's about 50-60 degrees outside and there was no AC so we had to keep the windows open and got attacked by mosquitos.

What a great find in the heart of Naples old city center. Easy to walk to everything in the historic city. Our host, Francesco has great pride of ownership and was most helpful.
Just be sure you get precise directions where the hotel entrance is. It would be tough to find at night, or if trying to arrive by car.

Beautiful historic property located in the heart of the historic center renovated staying true to the beauty and architectural style. Large room with very well appointed amenities. Excellent communication in advance of check-in, assistance with dining reservations, transportation, and suggestions for activities. Delicious breakfast!

The room and facility were great - great location, very nice room, just very difficult to find. Google maps said "you have arrived", but there was no sign anywhere. We had to contact the manager/owner to find us.

Very nice room. Very friendly host and staff. Very helpful staff. The breakfast was very nice. If you don't mind the music and noise outside up until 2 am this would work very well for you. It was difficult to find and the signage outside the location and in the hallways is poor. There is no elevator so be prepared to carry your bags up a long stairway. An armoire to put some clothes away with also be very nice. Make sure you advise the hostess of your arrival beforehand so she can unlock the front door for you. Location-wise it is very close to the old city. The subway is right outside the door. We think that we may have been better off staying closer to the harbour where there are more restaurants and better shopping.

Hotel stay was ok, if unremarkable and perhaps expensive for what it is. Our issue began after check out—we left behind a bag (wholly my own fault), and attempted to arrange its return. I offered to pay for both the cost and the trouble of sending it onward. However the hotel simply stopped responding to my messages. Fearing the item totally lost, I contacted my credit card company to try to make a travel insurance claim. When they reached out to the hotel, the hotel said they had the item, invalidating the claim. However they still don’t respond to my messages. Frustrating communication all around.

Francesco was amazing. There was a taxi cab strike while we were there and he didn’t hesitate to offer to drive us to our ferry. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable and feel like we were at home. 10/10 would recommend!
