Cozy place to stay at in Alcobaca. Just a couple of blocks away from the monastery and restaurants. Breakfast was delicious.

Excellent in every way. Location, reception, accommodations and definitely the breakfast.

The location was good for us, walkable to a wedding and other places to eat. If you don't like walking, you'll need Uber/Bolt to city center of Sintra and other major attractions. It's a 25 minute walk to city center and palace of pena is not walkable. Nice building, well kept. It was clean. But we searched specifically for air conditioning, which was our top criteria. We like to sleep at 69F (20.5C). When we arrived we found there was no air conditioning. It is the unforgivable sin. Very hard to sleep. Thankfully it was not hot the week we were there, but there were not enough windows to get good airflow, plus keeping windows open leads to a lot of street noise, especially on Saturday night with nearby bar.

Nuno is terrific and this place is a great choice if you want to stay in Sintra. It’s a kilometer hike to town, but free parking is accessible.

Our two bedroom apartment was decorated with nice old furniture but cramped. Breakfast at the dining room was great. Parking was easy as free community parking was just across the street. To get access to the main attractions at Sintra(Regaleira, National Palace), we needed to call Uber as the Villa is located at the skirt of the town. The Villa was nice but we do not think it deserve 4 stars considering the size and amenities of the room and the facilities.

Had a lovely stay for one night with my husband and parents. The property was beautiful and very well maintained. A pretty courtyard and convenient for Ubers to come and go. Staff was extremely accomodating and friendly. We got some good advice on how to see the city from Marco. Amazing breakfast! Would definitely stay again.

We loved our stay here! The apartment was gorgeous and well stocked and the staff was amazing! So kind and helpful with all our needs. Highly recommend!!!

I liked almost everything about the property. Nunno, the manager, couldn't have been more helpful, making us breakfast in the morning, securing dinner reservations, and offering us tour suggestions which were helpful. The only negative was the festival of San Pedro that happened to coincide with our stay and was across the street. Ot was charming except for the loud music that ended sometime between midnight and 2 am.

Beautiful property with excellent service and breakfast. Just a note to indicate that the rooms do not have AC, which means that they can be quite warm (but, there are windows that can be opened) and/or humid (our room was beautiful with all necessary amenities, but was extremely humid and had a musty smell.)

The Storytellers villas were a delight. After five days in Lisbon and Porto and lots of busy hotels the quiet and independence of the Apartment was a welcome relief. It is conveniently located to the main attractions in Sintra, with easy parking and very clean well appointed little apartment that has all you need. The staff are super friendly and helpful and Nuno provided suggestions for the surrounding areas, restaurants and other tips. There is a bowl of fruit which is replenished daily, a nice touch and the cafes around the apartment are very local and a great place to get a cheap meal, drink or a snack. Loved it.

What a lovely and enjoyable experience. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous and very comfortable, the breakfast and the breakfast room are very special and the staff are amazing. Marco, Christina and Nuno could not have done more to make our time memorable in this place. Such a treasure! You feel like a part of the family!

We were on a short trip to Sintra and so happy we chose Storytellers Villa. Our room was cute (small) and the courtyard common area was nice to hang out in for a glass of wine. Marco helped us figure out days agendas and made awesome dinner location suggestions. Numo and Cristine were so gracious and accommodating.

Charming, authentic atmosphere and top-notch service. This is not just a hotel but a getaway experience. Highly recommended, especially for a romantic visit to Sintra.

A convenient place, close to bakery shops, nice local restaurants! We walk up to Palace of Pero from the villa.

We had a beautiful two bedroom villa with a lovely sitting room and kitchenette. It was a lovely, quiet neighborhood, but walkable to shops and restaurants. But what really made it was Marco, the proprietor, who thought of everything. We had a giant water bottle, coffee pods and wonderful fresh fruit waiting for us in the room. When we arrived Marco met us, and helped plan out our two days in Sintra, organized our tickets to the Pena Palace, arranged onward train tickets (and printed them for us!) and gave us great restaurant recommendations. He could not have been more friendly, welcoming and helpful. He truly made our visit special. Would definitely go back and highly recommend

The owner of the property was there to greet us and show us the room and told us what to do and where to dine in the area. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and we look forward to staying at other properties of his in the future! The room itself was a delight, very unique atmosphere and a treat for our week in Portugal.

The room was nice and the kitchen and space was good. We found the bed and pillows very uncomfortable and left after one night (having rented it for two nights) because we didn't sleep well.

This was an amazing place to stay. The checked us in early, put our bags in our room for us, and even met us after hours to let us back in. The service was FANTASTIC! The room was clean and there was fresh fruit and water in the kitchen. Breakfast was delicious! Overall I HIGHLY recommend Storytellers Villas.

Lovely apartment in a perfect location. Marcos is charming and welcoming. We only stay one night but we will remember it for a long time. Breakfast is amazing !!!!

What a great little find. The villa was absolutely delightful, our host provided fresh fruit and water on arrival. The service was exceptional and we felt like family. We only stayed one night but could have stayed the week or more.
