Everything was as it should be.

Room was comfortable and clean. Service was fine and the location was good for nice pubs and food options.

Clean room, swift checking and free parking. However location is a little noisy as it's opposite a main road. Bed not comfortable and noisy, low on pillows and very small private toilet/bathroom.

Milka's is situated perfectly for getting in and out of the city by public transport (the bus stop is right outside the door) and the advantage of plentiful free parking is also great. The rooms were clean and adequate (if a little dated/basic) for a short stay and the host was very helpful. However there were a few things that would put us off returning: Hotels.com implied that breakfast was available by paying at the property, upon arrival we were told the dining room was closed! One of our rooms was at the front of building and the traffic noise was unbearable all night long - traffic seemed quieter when we stood at the bus stop outside (I took sleeping tablets the second night and did manage to get a few hours kip). Finally the mattress was way to hard for me, I suffer with chronic back pain anyway and this level of firmness just made it worse - Obviously preferred bed firmness is subjective, but if you don't like a hard bed you will definitely not like the ones here.

Only an overnight stay so facilities weren’t important to us which is just as well as there are none! If you’re after a clean & tidy bedroom with free parking then this will fit the bill.

Great location, the hotel is a 20 minute walk to the city or you can take the bus. The rooms are clean, secure, well maintained and you are provided with a kettle, tea and coffee. The bathroom has plenty of hot water, towels and a small amount of shampoo, it was disappointing that soap was not provided to wash your hands. I would stay at the hotel again and would recommend to friends and family.

Very nice short stay (2 nights) at Milka's. Friendly greeting, on site parking. The room was spotlessly clean and tidy. The decor is a little dated but has everything you need. I couldn't hear any traffic noise during the night. An ideal base for visiting Oxford or the surrounding area. Plenty of eateries and takeaways within walking distance.

Milkas was very clean and comfortable. One night stay idealy located for city centre.

Wonderful hosts, great breakfast cooked especially for you. Extremely clean. About 30 min walk to the city or a bus almost at the door. We had a room at the back which was very quiet, but I would imagine front rooms would be noisy. Be aware there are stairs, furniture is old and ensuite small.

The room was absolutely immaculate. Comfortable bed, nicely appointed touches such as genuine English lace on the table and nightstand, hair dryer, in-room coffee, tea, and cream, beautifully updated bathroom. You really get the feel for old Oxford by staying here. The owners are very accommodating. Homemade hot breakfast. Very accessible to Oxford City Center by bus. Bus stop is across the street. Would definitely stay at this property again!

Nice people, good breakfast, close to public transportation

Milkas is a comfortable place to stay. We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and modern appearance of our room. Very clean too. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. Cooked breakfast was also good. Would recommend and would stay again.

The Property manager allowed me to check-in earlier. The room was clean and well furnished. Breakfast was fabulous! Overall, a very hospitable and friendly host.

If you're looking for a flat with charm and character, this is your place! High ceilings with molding, fireplace, lovely furnishings and plenty of grand, spacious room make this apartment a lovely place to come home to every day! The location was awesome - we walked everywhere...Edinburgh Castle, Holyroodhouse, Royal Mile for shopping and great restaurants within blocks. We even stumbled upon a movie set on our walk to the Royal Botanic Gardens. The Dicksons were wonderful hosts, providing brochures, information, restaurant suggestions and conversation! The fridge was stocked with eggs, bread, milk, butter to get us going our first morning, and we were welcomed with a big, beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers upon arrival. My only disappointment is that the apartment was not available for one more night! You can't go wrong with this rental!

Very friendly and welcoming. Well furnished room and a good breakfast. Parking a bonus. Rooms are compact and it is next to a busy road. Easy access into the city.

Staff were friendly and the breakfast excellent, either the full English or continental (with a good choice). It's about a half hour walk into Oxford (we didn't bother taking the bus.) From the room traffic on the street could be noisy but died down later in the evening. Overall our stay was very pleasant.

We had forgotten to ask for a downstairs room, as we are disabled, but fortunately we got one. The staff were very helpful, even parking my car for me in their car park. The en-suite bathroom was very small, but functional. We plan on returning.
