Good location, amazing breakfast and very nice staff. The room was big enough and comfortable for few days stay.

Great location! The guesthouse is next to the actual hotel which allows you to save money but still have access to the main hotel. The room was small but all I needed as i was by myself. The staff was very helpful with great recommendations. Definitely worth a stay
It is next to the main property so slightly louder but ear plugs work great!

The room was cozy and nice, the view from the balcony at Matterhorn was pure magic - especially in the morning. Breakfast was very good, home made bread was delicious, the staff was very kind and helpful, we really enjoyed our stay.
The bathroom was a little bit small, but thumb up for natural soap and shampoo :)

Breakfast was excellent and included in the price. Homemade organic bread from the on premise bakery was so good. Many options from which to choose - all delicious. Scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, bacon, meat and cheese assortment, multiple yogurts, home made granola, many toppings, many jams, several types of homemade breads, etc.
Free transportation to and from the train station by electric transport vehicle.
Excellent dinners with healthy options and homemade bread at the hotel steakhouse.
Extremely helpful staff with all questions.

It is a guesthouse provided by the rex. As it is not part of the main hotel there are some disadvantages to it. However, you will get to have great Breakfast at the main hotel. Freshly baked breads and marmelade, chocolate etc.
Very tiny bathroom. The balcony was bigger than the bathroom.

Breakfast was great and everyone who worked at the hotel was genuinely so lovely and helpful, no matter that we were just staying at the guesthouse rather than the more expensive main hotel. The room was very clean and the hotel is well located! Free train station transfers are a lovely touch.
The room was expensive, but this is compared to other resorts. It is good value for Zermatt! Room could do with a few more amenities such as a coffee machine, drinking glasses and kettle.

Only one person at reception. We had to wait 15-20 mins to check out while someone in front of us was purchasing a ski pass at reception.

This is a B&B or budget hotel operated by the Rex.Breakfast at the The Rex Hotel was very good. Hotel staff (receptionist and waitresses at the restaurant) were friendly and do a good job. Room rate is reasonable from the view point of Swiss standard.
There are not many furnishings in the room (as we were out for sightseeing during the most of the day, it was OK).

The location was excellent, as we could easily walk to the shops, train and mountain gondolas.
The check in at the Rex hotel was very good and the staff were particularly pleasant and helpful.
Our room was in the little guesthouse, and was quite small. It was clean with a comfortable bed. We had a balcony which was a bonus.
The breakfast in the Rex hotel was good, with a large variety of foods.
The bathroom was very small, and the shower was so small I kept hitting my elbows in it.
The staircase up to the second floor was steep. There is no lift so it would be unsuitable for some people.

Nice room and with a view to Matterhorn. I think this place was only 2 stars but it was absolutely great. We could enjoy the breakfast in the 4 star main hotel. We had a balconny with a view to Matterhorn. What we got for the price was perfect. Would absolutely go there again. Thank you.

Location good being a short walk from the centre. The breakfast in the main hotel was good with an excellent choice. The garden of the hotel is a great place to sit and have a drink in more relaxed surroundings than the local streets.
Online check in system is rubbish, and not clear. Sorted by very professional staff, but the whole process was a pain to do on a mobile and not really needed as we had to go to the reception anyway with passports and to collect the room key.

It is not the Rex, but the guesthouse (as in description), but you still get the Rex staff witch is very helpful and the breakfast witch was superb. Would come again.
