big rooms, right by the sea and main centre of town. air conditioning works amazing

one staff member in particular accused us of not paying for breakfast before checking our file. we had it included. this made us feel uncomfortable.

The hotel was beautiful, it was clean and room service did a good job, despite all the sand. There was a nice pool area. The bathroom was amazing very spacious and well designed.

Front desk was disorganized. I paid for bottles of water with cash, the girl told me I was all set. When I went to check out they told me I owed money for the water still. I told them I paid, but the girl said I didn’t they couldn’t find the money and made me pay again. They added a random charge for bar consumables something I didn’t use.

The staff is exceptional, the location is excellent, big room, beach-front. I would move here if I could. They made me a cake for my birthday and when I had to leave at 5am to catch the ferry, they sent me off with a boxed breakfast. Loved my experience.

Great location right in town near all the restaurants and tour companies. Super clean, beautiful ocean view, and overall just wonderful. Every staff member is incredibly nice and helpful. They even walked with us to the place we needed to go buy return ferry tickets to Santa Cruz and stayed to make sure we got everything correctly!

The hotel and the personnel who run it are just wonderful. It's on the pricey end for hotels here, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

As in a lot of Galapagos, hot water in the shower is hit and miss.

Hotel Albemarle is a great hotel and I can't recommend it enough. Tim the owner, a New Zealander, is a cool dude and the hotel staff is great and highly attentive. Juliette in particular helped me with every aspect of my trip, from booking dinners and activities as well as making me feel welcome as a solo traveler. I had a great time, and look forward to returning and exploring more of the Galapagos Islands :)

The only thing that could have been better was the wi-fi/data. I was on vacation and technically trying to "disconnect," but in my role as a financial market participant I have to at least have some semblance of what is going on in the markets. However, this is not the hotel's fault nor anyone on staff there. Data and being hyper-connected to the outside world is just not a high priority in the Galapagos Islands. So for people coming to truly disconnect, this can be a godsend. However, if you at the very least need to check in on email and price data, be prepared for some very slow data/wi-fi feeds...
