It was just a wonderful stay- the building style, colonial style furniture, exquisite decor, staff that quickly learns what guests like and dislike and treats guests professionally and cordially. Hotel management is present, accessible, and friendly. Interesting stories about the history of the place and how it coped with the recent COVID crisis. The Garden and the pool area are an enclave in a busy Vientiane. The food was good and nicely presented.

I would have preferred to have more spaces to hang my towels in the bathroom and to have a handheld shower head but this is just an extra "nice to have"

Это и правда оазис тишины,чистоты,красоты.Тишина,у бассейна никого,сервис потрясающий,номер просторный.Отель с изюминкой,скрипучие полы добавляли шарма.Персонал запоминал наши привычки с первого дня и пытался угодить.

Питание,довольно скудное на завтрак,но это не проблема.Проблемой оказалось наше желание поесть в ресторане в вечер перед вылетом чтобы не бегать в город.Ценник то ладно и не такое видали,но качество блюд просто никакое.Пицца на непонятно какой лепёшке,она даже до пиццы пэн пай не дотянула,к ней подают кетчуп отдельно.Паста - тушите свет.Крокеты - с кетчупом.Ну и том ян который похож на что угодно, но не на том ям.

The pool was incredibly beautiful. The staff very helpful.

As there were almost no guests, during low season, the breakfast was not buffet but à la carte instead. I understand but that it's not possible to arrange a buffet for 3 or 4 guests.

After 6 weeks of traveling through Cambodia and Laos this hotel was a welcome oasis. Yes its expensive, however the room facilities and location were great. Loved the room, pool and breakfast was 10/10.

The room was really lovely. It's aesthetically very pleasing – like how one imagines a colonial classic like Raffles in Singapore might be. The bed was very comfortable. The pool is picturesque and nice to use, too.

Whilst the staff member in Reception in the daytime and the main waiter at breakfast were very nice and professional, other staff had limited English and seemed clueless. The staff member in Reception in the evening seemed both puzzled and panicked when I told him the Internet had stopped working (surely that's not the first time this had happened in this country!). The AC stopped working in the morning – but it was more trouble that it was worth to try and get it fixed. Breakfast was pretty poor – given the good French bakeries in Laos, you'd expect better croissants than these. The scrambled eggs with cheese were so bad I sent them back (I assume it was either cheap or bad cheese). Laos is not an easy country to visit, so despite a few shortcomings, this hotel is probably the place to stay if you are going to the capital. I've described issues not to put people off but to help manage expectations.
