I love how neatly arranged the place was. The host made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. And of course, it was close to the Newport bus centre, this made for easy commuting.

Heating in this converted detached garage in the garden of the property was subject to a heating schedule from the main house that was not controllable in the unit. Although it was set throughout to the maximum temperature on the electronic thermostatic radiator valve, the radiator's temperature never exceeded lukewarm, which was inadequate to heat the room during a cold night possibly due to the distance from the furnace in the main house. When we returned from an event in the late evening, the room was still bitterly cold. It was so cold that we had to sleep fully clothed under duvets and an additional blanket provided by the owners, even then, it was not enough and the experience was most unpleasant. I started to try and use the gas oven to provide heat to the room but on checking, I decided not to as there wasn't a Carbon Monoxide alarm in the room (only a Smoke Alarm was found). An electric fan heater was located on the bathroom wall, but this was not working. The floor was always cold, very cold, with thermal bridging noticeable from the slab outside. (Night temperatures dropped to below 0°c) Insulation seemed to be missing. Loose rugs on the floor were curling in the corners and could easily trip somebody in low light conditions.

N/A for breakfast. Easy parking. Had everything we needed.

It would be nice if there were ice trays in the freezer.

The apartment was extremely well equipped. Everything what we were looking for. host Muhammad was friendly and kind, The apartment was clean and spacious and extremely comfortable beds, central heater made apartment really warm and cosy,highly recommended this apartment 😊

There was little to like in the property.

We booked this property for 2 nights. Unbelievably cold inside and the small wall mounted fire did not heat the space up. The proprietor brought in another small heater but even with both on continually it was unbearably cold. We slept with our coats on the bed to keep warm. There were no bottom sheets on the beds, just mattress protectors. The electrics didn't look safe. There was no parking, just on street parking, which isn't quite what we were lead to believe. The studio appeared to be a converted garage, which had little or no insulation for warmth. It was so bad we weren't able to stay the second night. We booked into a hotel, just to be warm.
