清潔感がもう少しアップすればなおよし。 お風呂が特にもう少し綺麗であれば良いと思う。 敷布団がかなり硬いので、腰痛持ちの私には長期滞在は厳しいなぁと思った。

We arrived guesthouse around 6pm and owner was absent. One of guest told me he is sleeping in the room. I have never seen any owner sleep in 6pm even though check in has not finished. We waited around 15min to check-in. room was not the same building and we have to walk around 5 min all the way up to the hill. The problem was that the room wasn't prepared at all. He asked us to wait, then clean the bad and room in front of us. How host can sleep on 6pm before check in finish and do not prepare the room. and he never say sorry to us. It was one of worst experience in japan. 게스트하우스에 저녁 6시에 도착했는데 주인분은 안계시고 손님만 있었고 주인분이 자고 있다고 하시네요. 자고 있는 주인분을 깨워서 다른 건물에 있는 방으로 이동하는데 산위로 5분정도 꽤나 멀리 올라가야 했습니다. 문제는 도착해서 보니 방이 준비가 전혀 안되있었고 주인분은 저희보고 기다리라고 하고 앞에서 침대를 정리하고 방을 청소하셨습니다. 체크인 시간 전에 갔으면 이해할 수 있지만 저녁 6시에 갔는데 방 준비도 안하고 자고 있다니 기본도 안 되어있는 게스트하우스였습니다. 사장분은 사과의 말 한마디도 안하셨네요 여기 사장님은 돈만 밝히는분인거 같으니 가급적 피하시는게 좋을 것 같네요

Out of our entire 14 day Japan trip this was the most authentic feeling, quaint and traditional styled neighborhood with small walkways and pretty gardens and Japanese roofs everywhere!

I loved it but It’s traditional so if you can’t climb stairs, it’s probably too difficult. The staff is so amazing though and would probably find a room in the main floor.

Amongst the best of old Japanese houses. The staff cooked our dinner by paying a fixed amount. It was a no brainer as there are hardly any eateries around.

A long steep climb. And towels are not included. Gotta pay for use or towel and face towel.

Die Gastfreundschaft, die Freundlichkeit und die Verpflegung ( Gemeinschaftsessen jeden Abend) waren grandios. Ich habe während meines Aufenthalts so viel über die japanische Kultur, Sprache und das Essen gelernt und hatte die Möglichkeit in der Küche zu helfen. Sehr zu empfehlen wenn man Japan erkunden und besser verstehen möchte. Der Ort Ondo ist ein wenig abgelegen und zu empfehlen wenn man dem Trubel der Stadt entgehen möchte. Man erreicht Hiroshima in 1-1,5h (je nach Bus/Zugverbindung). Der Strand am unteren Ende der Halbinsel ist ein toller Ort um sie Seele baumeln zu lassen. Man kann dort aber auch Wanderungen mit einer schönen Aussicht genießen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr hilfsbereit wenn man die Gegend erkunden möchte. Es gibt die Möglichkeit die Waschmaschine für einen geringen Betrag zu nutzen. Es gibt einen großen Supermarkt 5min fußläufig zur Unterkunft. Ich finde die Initiative des Gastgebers sich für leer stehende Häuser im Ort einzusetzen und diese Orte zu erhalten und zu nutzen, sehr lobenswert. Nur zu empfehlen!

Ich hatte ein Zimmer mit normalem Holzboden, ohne Tatami Matten, in dem ich auf dem Futon geschlafen habe. Andere Zimmer hatten Tatami-Matten. Die sind nicht ganz so hart und Federn aus meiner Sicht etwas, was das Schlafen auf einem Futon angenehmer macht.

Mr Nakamura was so welcoming and even though I barely spoke any Japanese, staying at Setouchi Life really allowed me to experience life in the Japanese countryside and get to know all the fellow wonderful homestay guests, with whom I ate dinners and traveled around. Hospitality was amazing.

This us an authentic Japanese experience. Only hearty guests should book as there is a steep climb up a hill to the guest rooms. The small onsen in the downstairs area was exceptional. Kaito was charming and informative and cooked a delicious dinner. Ecu and Katzoo were very helpful guiding us from the bus stop and bringing our belongings to our room. We are much appreciative of the kind hospitality and genuine warmth we were shown. Once we learned the route we were able to easily take the bus from Kure to the correct Takesu stop.
