The hotel is located inside the wall in Cortona close to everything. The breakfast buffet was varied and plentiful.

Beautiful building and furnishings.Centrally located just off the main square.Very comfortable room and the staff were very helpful.

The only slight issue I had was that my room was at the front of the hotel adjacent to the side street that it’s on.There is a bar on the corner of the main square which played music until quite late which I could hear in my room.I raised this with the staff and they did there best to ensure that the bar stopped playing music when there were supposed to.

Everything the staff was excellent, it was on of the most quietly room I have ever had with the all origin walls being so thick and you can open the windows like they did back in the day just a great experience of the old world.

Great location, wonderful staff who go the extra mile, lovely high-ceilinged room with good air conditioning.

The mattress was not great (typical in Italy) and the shower stall was too small (also typical in Italy).

Excellent central location with wonderfully helpful staff at reception. The room was beautiful, clean and quiet,; look forward to staying here again.

It was a really great stay, but probably would take breakfast outside next time - a bit dark inside, and a wait for tables to be cleared, coffee to be topped up.

The staff was EXCEPTIONAL !! From Alessandro ( GM evening ) Francesca ( front desk ) and Tahir - these 3 were a wonderful greeting to this hotel and town. We arrived late and they welcomed our frazzled selves into their hotel. Francesca made dinner reservations, Alessandro parked our car and Tahir took care of our luggage. These acts sound simple but to us that night - they went over and above helping us. This is a 4-star hotel because they have the best staff along with their beautiful hotel. Do not stay anywhere else -because you will not get this exceptional treatment. The kindness they showed us was so appreciated.

Great location

It is now the second time, I stayed at hotel san Michele and I absolutely love this hotel. The ancient rooms, the exceptional view out of the window over the roofs of Cortona, the location in the middle of the center, just everything is georgeus!

Room next to elevator was a bit noisy. Would like two key cards - one for each person.

The location is the best! very convenient to everything Cortona has to offer. There are 4 restaurants within 100 feet of the entrance, parking if you need it and an ATM machine right outside the hotel.
