The breakfast was lovely and served at the table

The young girls we dealt with were very polite and helpful.
Breakfast starting at 8.30am is quite late for us and they were very accommodating, with the chef kindly coming in for 8am so we could get on our way. Breakfast was delicious!
There was a lovely new bathroom
Bed was very comfortable, which is important
Unfortunately there was no food after 4pm so we had to go into town to find some dinner (we did have some great Italian!).
Our shower handle was broken and wouldn't stay screwed in. We had to manually put it in to turn on the shower and again to turn it off, leaving it on the shelf at other times. It did drip and leak out a little.
The location meant we had pub guests right outside our room so had to put the blind down, making the room dark and poky. Luckily it closed at 9pm on the night we were there.
Sharing an outside door with other guests meant there was a lot of banging around for a while when they came back after 10.30pm. Above us also creaked very loudly as they walked across the floor. Lucky we always travel with earplugs to dull excess noise.

The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The room was well equipped, quiet and clean. Breakfast great.

Rooms were decorated in a lovely style, comfortable bed, toiletries supplied were a nice touch and very good quality. We were even able to check in early as our room was ready which was a lovely surprise. Breakfast was well made and good quality. Would definitely come back!

The room we booked was more than upto expectations, it was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hosts were great and even arranged flowers being in the room for my wife's birthday. Surrounded by beautiful built buildings it was a short walk up the hill to the main town, it is an excellent short stay for seeing the many antique shops and beautiful churches
As it is a pub, there are a few tables in the courtyard outside so you can hear people outside, it wasn't an issue for us, but I can understand some people may not like it.

There is good free parking. This is a pub with rooms which are off the pub garden. The room was spacious with a nicely fitted bathroom. It was an easy walk into the centre of Tetbury. It is well placed for a visit to Highgrove garden. On the basis of online reviews we did not eat at the Royal Oak.
The room only had one small window which made the room very dark. We were able to hear people moving around in the room above. The synthetic pillows were not great. The cooked breakfast was good but there was a poor choice of cereal and no fruit, yoghurt or croissants for those who do not want a cooked breakfast. We do not normally pay so much for accommodation and it was not apparent what justified the high cost.

Love the olde worldly feel of the place . The are surroundings are lovely. A short walk to the town of Tetbury . Loved that we could take our dog with us for breakfast.

The hosts were simply superb. Friendly super helpful and generally delightful. Thank you so much. Ryan even offered to taxi my mum and I to a wedding! Exceptional service.
Just need to be aware of v steep steps up to the bedrooms. In case of limited mobility this could be a problem

The rooms were a good size and the bathrooms looked like they had been recently renovated. The location was good.
The bed mattress was average. The toiletries in the bathroom were running low and could have been topped up between guests. Price wise it was a bit on the expensive side for the room and breakfast provided which were both fine.

Location was good, with lovely country walks in the doorstep. Breakfast was excellent.
Extremely noisy when we arrived as there had obviously been an event during the afternoon, and the music was still on full blast outside our room. This was switched off after about 15 mins. Someone was walking around all night in the room above us though, which was not nice. There was a huge heap of carpet sweepings on the coffee table when we arrived which was disappointing.

It was a beautiful setting and great location. We had the family suite and it was very cosy yet but a big room.
Not much, just need to get a mini bar so you can keep milk cold. Plus, if you have mobility issues this would not be ideal as you need to climb stairs.

it’s a good pub with a good selection for beers. The staff were all friendly and attentive. the food was well prepared and nicely served.
The rooms are in a separate building and our room was amazing! Lots of space with a comfortable sofa and table. Nicely decorated and a very nice bathroom. If you are booking in with a dog contact The Royal Oak directly as booking.Com doesn’t let them know.
Possibly the are in front of the accommodation which is set out patio furniture could get busy in the summer months. This would not stop us from booking again.
