Excellent pub and accommodation. Friendly service upon arrival. Rooms are of a good size and nicely tucked away in a courtyard.
Evening meal was of good quality as was the breakfast.
Highly recommended.

I had read great things about the Huntsman online however on arrival it turned out the reality is a bit different. I had booked a suite (the most premium room category) and had a very uncomfortable stay - dirty floors, noisy bathroom (fan which could be turned off, and something to do with the plumbing which kept making an intermittent noise and disturbed my sleep), mould in the grout in the bathroom. The room faces the road and the noise from the road was heard throughout my stay. The team were very friendly and I had a warm welcome from them and a lovely chat at the bar. Sadly the attention to detail and cleanliness of the rooms are not up to par and for that reason I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend the property to anyone wanting a comfortable stay in Brockenhurst.

Lovely stay. Great location. Had dinner and breakfast at the pub both were very good. Only slight negative was that the room was not ready when we arrived at 3.30pm and we were told would be half an hour but we could buy a drink and wait. I think as the room was delayed it would have been a nice gesture to offer us a drink, not get us to buy one. Otherwise a very good pub and excellent food!

Staff couldn't do enough to be helpful. The room was amazing with some lovely little touches, a paper, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hospitality tray, honesty snack box, radio, coffee maker and bath robes.
Would happily visit again.

Good place to stay in Brockenhurst. Convenient location, good food at the pub, friendly staff. Our room wasn't ready when we were told it would be at check in time which was slightly annoying. Room wasn't made up on our second day either. Sofa bed was pretty uncomfortable - it was ok for our 5 year old, but an older child or adult would have been pretty unhappy with it I think.

Only issue I have maybe Expedia or property. I booked two family sized rooms for single occupancy as I work in the room. However on arrival only one room was this style the other was a much smaller box room.

Brockenhurst area really lovely and the hotel nicely situated. Menu very limited and not to our taste needed more homely foods doesn’t always have to be posh food.
Bed was rather uncomfortable. Brockenhurst and surrounding areas worth the visit .

This hotel was interesting. Older building, the front desk was located at the bar in the restaurant. There was a separate entrance to the rooms once you had checked in. However in attempting to leave at 7 in the morning to catch a plane, the back entrance to the parking area was blocked by a delivery truck causing us to have to walk all the way around the parking lot and then when attempting to enter through the front entrance the door was locked. Staff was very nice and helpful.

It’s in need of some TLC and a really good clean! The dust in the radiator / heater on the wall and the extractor fan is thick and as for the shower head, it is thick solid with limescale and rust. The toilet doesn’t flush properly and it’s generally in need of some maintenance.

Lovely building, lovely room but decor in room was a bit tired. Dressing table light & mirror light in en-suite not working.
Friendly efficient staff, excellent food.
All round a wonderful stay & would recommend to others.

Had an enjoyable stay only let down by the fact we couldn’t eat in the restaurant because we hadn’t booked a table. Weren’t told this when we were shown round at check in. Ended up with sandwiches from Tescos hardly ideal 😕

We visited for my birthday and paid when booking via hotels.com. When we arrived the manager requested payment and rushed us into repaying. When found we had already paid hotels.com the hotel refused a refund and made no effort in helping us and were quite frankly very rude in their response.
The room was nice but would not pay full price, it was drafty and had lots of road noise with some landlord spec paint jobs.
There are much nicer hotels in the area where you can stay for cheaper - even their sister pub down the road in Lymington would be a better option.
