Amazing stay with the family at Holly Lodge. Beautiful house, quiet surrounds and fully equipped for everything. Host was super accommodating considering sudden plan changes.

Holly Lodge was a nice comfortable place, 6 Adults and plenty of Room, the fires were good and plenty of wood, close to all shops and restaurants. there a been a lot of rain so parking cars in drive way was a challenge but all good

The house was beautiful, just as it appeared in the photos with a kitchen that was better equipped than my own. There was a huge fire place and the wooden interior made you feel like you were staying in a Swiss cabin. The forest surrounding the house had an atmosphere of pure serenity.

We enjoyed a quiet getaway and some quality time with family.

From a flawless check in process, to communication with the owners our stay at holly lodge was lovely. We especially loved the verandah and the meaning seating options ! The upstairs loft allowed for a separate area when holidaying with family.

We loved the quaint cottage deep in a pine forrest, well removed from neighbours and noise. Wonderfully equipped with every item that you would have in your own home. Firewood generously supplied. Lots of notes to help you navigate and protect this much loved cottage. Loved the upstairs loft with a massive bedroom, with tasteful decoration.

The cabin was very well equipped and was clean. Heating equipment was very good.

this was a terrific base for going out on day hikes and exploring the area. We wish we had a chance to use the beautiful fireplace but it was summertime - we may need to come back!

Don't worry about trawling through the rest of the Blue Mountains accommodation - this place is a WINNER! Secluded and away from other properties you notice the privacy as soon as you step out of your car, surrounded by tall pine trees, gently swaying in the breeze. Inside Holly Lodge, it has that roomy-yet-snug feel-factor that you do not get from usual holiday accommodation. This had the feel of a family welcome from the owners, a certain sense of pride for what they have achieved in their corner of the Blue Mountains and we were lucky to be sharing it with them. It should be noted that the photo's online do not do Holly-Lodge justice. A cracking open fireplace (that we were able to light of an evening, while Sydney below us baked in 30C plus temperatures the weekend we stayed) was where we spent the evenings playing board games with the kids, sitting on the floor, legs crossed, feeling like children ourselves. The kitchen is more than accommodating for the family chef, with every utensil known to a restaurant kitchen at your fingertips and with a gas cooker it was perfect. The unique kitchen bench has been handcrafted from a large cut of wood and helps retain that large log-cabin feel. Three bedrooms downstairs with ample room, extremely comfortable beds and cupboard space to hang your clothes was more than enough, yet the upstairs 'loft' room was where it was all happening. We hardly saw the children, except for meal times and car trips as they played away up there, pretty content in their little fantasy worlds. It should also be noted that there is free wi-fi at Holly Lodge and a vast collection of movies, catering for all genres, as well as Stan TV that was a given to keep the kids entertained when upstairs had worn them out. It's a cliché I know, but this is a corner of this country that is perfect for the traveller with the rat-race 1km below. If you want a clean, welcoming place to stay then we highly recommend staying here. We've stayed in the Blue Mountains twice before and can't believe we missed it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Holly Lodge. The weather wasn't fabulous the weekend of our stay, so we enjoyed using the fire and doing a tour of the local attractions recommended. A bit noisy with the train nearby, but that didn't phase us. Our dog loved exploring the property too.

A simply stunning getaway tucked in the middle of the forest! Such a warm welcoming feeling with the open fire place & simply stunning gardens! A beautiful place to escape with either the family, friends or a romantic weekend. A BIG + for us- our puppy was welcome! & had a ball exploring the magical gardens!.. Best thing this time round was it SNOWED! Our kids were beside themselves as they had never seen snow before! We WILL DEF return!

Pretty as a picture. Every detail was thought of, and the place was so well equipped. Markus really looked after us. During the days we saw the sights and enjoyed the different cafes, The cabin was so warm and inviting, that at night we preferred to spend it in front of the roaring fire. There were lots of books, movies and board games to entertain us. During our stay there was a beautiful snowfall. We got to meet the neighbours, make a snowman, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. A vacation to remember.

We had a girl's weekend away and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The property was well stocked and very cosy. The owners were a delight to deal with. Would definitely come back here again.

Loved this beautiful hideaway in the blue mountains

We had a very romantic stay at "Holly Lodge". The nature around the house were very enjoyable with lots of birds. In the evening we had a cosy time in front of the fireplace with a glass of wine and could forget our daily worries ;-)

We love coming here. It is a great place and so nice that the dog can come on holiday as well. So well equipt and so relaxing.
