Really liked staying in this place. Lovely location. Very clean and felt very safe. Definitely recommend.

The bed in the biggest bedroom was rather firm-as were the sofas, but I’m splitting hairs here!

The property is spacious (3 bed semi) and was comfortable for the 2 of us. Quiet location and driveway parking. A good base (near Barnstaple) from which to explore the North Devon area

The initial impression was not good. Large weeds in front paving and over spilling bin bag at the front, more weeds and rubbish left in the back garden put us off sitting outside. Inside the cleanliness was not up to scratch. A number of pans in the kitchen were unusable and the oven was very greasy. There was obvious grime across the kitchen surfaces and on/around appliances (microwave, toaster). Things were left on shelves in the utility and bathroom that should have been cleared after last let (one juice bottle had gone mouldy). I felt I had to go round and clean all surfaces in every room we were going to use as I simply did not trust that the property had been cleaned at all. Light in the utility did not work, and biggest concern of all was that smoke alarms did not appear to be working. The smoke alarms were replaced the next day and the light the day after, but these are things that should be checked after every let to make sure they work and clearly they were not.
