Words cannot describe how perfect this place is. The pictures are accurate but the house is, somehow, better. Everything we needed was there and more! I don't have any reason to go back but I'm looking for one.

We enjoyed our stay, found everything we needed and then some. This house is well cared for, very clean and easy to enjoy.

Our family stayed for a weekend of soccer tournaments and it was absolutely perfect! They really thought of everything and our stay couldn't have been better! Our standards have been raised due to this place ☺️ and we will rebook for the next one in this area!

This house was absolutely perfect! It had everything we needed and was in a great location. It was very central to anywhere that we needed to go, while we were visiting. We will definitely stay here again, when we come to visit our family and friends. After we had left the property, the owner let us know they found one of our sweatshirts and they were kind enough to allow us back to pick it up! We are so grateful for that. Any contact we had with the owner prior to, during and after the stay, has been very prompt and kind. We loved this space and can’t wait to stay again.

We really enjoyed staying in this home for my son’s UD graduation. My family and my mom loved this warm and cozy home. It was very clean, adorably decorated with plenty of extras to make your stay effortless. The owners have thought of everything. The location is perfect for UD and other Dayton area events. Everyone said they had a great night’s sleep - comfy beds and pillows!

The communication and check in was very easy. Our host responded promptly to our questions and concerns. It is a very nice house that accommodated five adults and an almost one years old. We spend our first Thanksgiving out of state! We love to cook and that kitchen was good enough to recreate our Thanksgiving just like home. We borrow son pots and things from our son who is station in Dayton, OH. The only downside of this property the lack of another shower. However, we managed to take turns and plan accordingly for our activities. The location was perfect, few minutes from downtown Dayton and other amenities. So Thank You!!!

Stayed at the Carlton Cottage While we were teaching a class for Dayton Parks. The Cottage was great very comfortable, super clean and organized very quiet with everything we needed. Really appreciated the information regarding local restaurants etc

Charming and cozy house in fairly quiet neighborhood. Was a great fit for a family reunion, housing two sets of grandparents and a young family with a toddler. We liked that parking was in back of house through short alleyway, made loading/ off-loading easier and felt less exposed. Accessing the house was seamless and convenient for a large group with the keyless lock, mudroom was perfect for shluffing off all our shoes and coats. Kitchen was beautiful and had so many amenities: a multi port usb charging station, coffee maker, kettle, dishwasher, lots of storage and room to work including an island. Adjacent full sized washer and dryer were clean and provided washing soap. Lovely Dayton-inspired decor filled the entire house but the dining and living rooms and the under-the-stairs playroom were the stand outs while still being comfortable. We all spent many hours communing in these spaces. All upstairs bedrooms were also beautifully decorated, cozy and quiet. The master bedroom had a travel baby cot and roll away mini crib to choose from as well as a high chair. The bathrooms (full bath upstairs and half bath down stairs) were clean and well supplied with facial makeup wipes, towels, and lots of hooks. One note is that the stairs are narrower and wood so a little more trepidatious for a toddler, older folk with bad knees, and socks. The owner/host was extremely responsive and helpful to any requests. We loved our stay and we’d definitely stay here again.

This home is beautifully appointed and easy to check into and out of. The beds are very comfortable. I especially appreciated the proximity to the river for running.

Our family highly recommend the Carrolin cottage. Our family of six fit perfectly in this home, including our 2 1/2 girls, and 11 month old. This house has absolutely everything you for a family: crib, pack and play, high chair, kids dishes/ utensils and playroom too! There is a backyard and easy walk to two parks, coffee shops, ice cream, trails and more! The hosts were very kind and responsive. We will definitely return every time we visit Dayton!

This home is the most thoughtful and lovely property we’ve ever rented! The furnishings and decor are so tasteful, they have thought of everything to stick it with for guests and then some. It’s a charming historic property with lots of Dayton memorabilia. Our family was very comfortable here. I would only note that the stairs are steep due to the age of the home, as a consideration for mobility status when deciding to stay. All bedrooms are upstairs. It’s close to everything we needed, and there’s a great park for running.

Everything was exceptionally clean and well thought out - we had everything we needed and then some! We stayed here with a 3 year old and a 5 month old and it was well equipped for both with a crib, high chair, kids dishes and most importantly, toys & books! My 3yo spent all her time in the little play nook ;) The house is located near a busy-ish intersection so would not be ideal for kids playing near the front but plenty of space in the backyard. Overall, I’d highly recommend staying here and we appreciate the property being as described, very clean and easy check in!

Had a fantastic stay in Dayton! House was beautiful, spacious and comfortable. Safe, quiet and centrally located neighborhood, very close to the University of Dayton. Newly renovated, you can tell the owners spent a lot of time decorating the home with little touches all over the property. Hosts were very responsive and attentive. Highly recommend the property for your next stay in the area!
