Lo único bueno es que está ubicada cerca de líneas de transporte público. Y el cuarto estaba limpio al inicio de nuestra estancia. No ofrecieron servicio de limpieza de cuartos ni de baño en los 3 días que estuvimos allí. Tampoco tienen servicio de recepción al llegar. Abrí la puerta principal porque nadia respondía a mis timbrazos. Primero salió una niña de unos 5 años, luego una abuela que sólo hablaba chino, creo, y finalmente un adolescente de unos 14 años que sólo nos llevó a una habitación y luego se desapareció. Nos pidieron quitarnos los zapatos al entrar, y así nos percatamos de que la alfombra estaba mojada. El wifi sí funcionaba y no cobraron por eso. La temperatura de los cuartos es muy alta, y no había manera de regularla. Había un aparato en la pared pero no servía para ajustar la temperatura del cuarto.

Cuando hice esta reservación por Booking el 11/noviembre/2024, el lugar se llamaba "Vancouver Luxury Guest House" Ahora que estoy escribiendo esta reseña, veo que los dueños han cambiado el nombre a "Vancouver Youth Guest House". Ellos mismos están reconociendo su mentira. Mi esposo y yo nos estábamos quedando en los Beautiful Guest Houses del barrio de Mount Pleasant, pero durante el fin de semana del 6-9 de diciembre no encontramos alojamiento allí por el evento de Taylor Swift. Al buscar opciones de alojamiento vi ésta, que se llamaba "Vancouver Luxury Guest House", y pensé que iba a ser comparable a nuestra experiencia en Mount Pleasant. En la foto de portada ponen una fot de la casa desde la calle, y se ve grande y bonita, pero ni creas que te vas a quedar en alguna recámara del primer piso o del segundo piso. Las recámaras para hospedaje están en el sótano, no tienen vista a ningún lado, y tienen un baño horrible que seguramente no cumple con los códigos de construcción de Canadá. Cada habitación en el sótano tiene su clóset convertido en baño, con puertas corredizas de cristal y sin ninguna cortina que dé privacidad. Imagínate que si estás compartiendo la recámara, si te sientas a orinar o defecar te van a estar viendo todod. Dentro de lo que era el clóset pusieron una taza de excusado y una lavamanos encima de un pequeño gabinete de madera, y arriba de todo eso está la regadera, así que cuando te bañas se moja todo por dentro. Y el agua no se drena rápido, así que tienes que hacer una de dos: cerrar la llave del agua y esperar a que se vaya el agua, o arriesgar que el agua se acumule tanto que se salga del clóset a la recámara. Toda la instalación de estos mini-baños está hecho con las patas. Y como ocuparon el clóset para baño, pues no tienes donde poner tu ropa. No hay ni un gancho en las paredes. Y no hay privacidad de sonido tampoco. Todos los huéspedes pueden oír lo que dicen y hacen los demás.

I booked a room with bathroom and breakfast included. The owner tried to give me a room without bathroom. I had to have negotiation with him for an hour in order to get a room with bathroom. I spent two nights and I didn’t see any breakfast

Owner was really friendly and overall it was superb. No issues.

Pictures and written advertisements wrong. No private bathroom. No TV in room. People were up all night, very loud and inconsiderate.... in the common area, directly outside our room. One bathroom for 5 rooms. Highly NOT recommended.

Clean carpets were nice

Construction taking place right outside the property, so access by vehicle is hard. Parking was awkward and hard to find. I was greeted at the front door by a man who thought I was lost. He barely spoke English and was quite rude and bossy. Immediately after checking in I was asked by the staff to help them read directions on the carpet cleaning machine and if I would help clean the carpets for them. I was speechless. I responded that I was a paying customer and that customers at a hotel dont help do their jobs. I wasn't sure if understood my response but nonetheless I was respectful in my response. I was overall disappointed and will never return to this " luxury" home.

The building was a large, high-quality house, with luxury fittings in an up-market area. However, the room was not what we had expected. No TV, no fridge, no bedside tables or lamps. Very bright ceiling lamps made you feel uncomfortable. The owner offered another room for the next night, but moving was too complicated and inconvenient.

Friendly staff/owners. Easy to check-in and check-out. Place was spacious, finely decorated, functional and comfortable.

There was one full bathroom with a shower/tub, and a half bathroom available to guests. In the mornings there would be a little bit of a wait as the bathrooms were shared between multiple guests. However, just waking up a little bit earlier alleviated this issue.

I submitted a complaint and refund request for this property and promised a response within 24 hours which I have yet to receive.

Again, this property is occupied by a family with uninhabitable guest “rooms” resembling a storage facility. They listing is deceiving and certain it does not meet the code requirement for guests or sanitation. We DID NOT stay at this property.
