We recently had the pleasure of staying at this delightful VRBO property, and our experience was nothing short of extraordinary, especially for our family with a 2-year-old. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the charm and warmth of this inviting home. The attention to detail in the decor and amenities was impressive and truly showcased the hosts' commitment to providing a top-notch experience for all guests, regardless of age. Every room was impeccably clean, and the thoughtful touches throughout the house added an extra layer of comfort for both adults and little ones. What truly set this property apart, however, were the hosts themselves. From our initial inquiry to the moment we checked out, Debbie was the epitome of graciousness. Her genuine hospitality extended to our little one, making us feel like more than just guests; we felt like cherished friends. They even provided helpful tips on local family-friendly activities, ensuring that our vacation was not only enjoyable for us but also for our toddler. The property's location was another standout feature, providing a peaceful retreat while remaining conveniently close to local family attractions, like Grandfather Mountain. We enjoyed exploring the park and kid-friendly activities, and having a comfortable home to return to each evening made our family vacation even more enjoyable. We had the best weekend and look forward to visiting again soon!

The home & property were exactly as described & the host was fantastic about communication. I received easy instructions, simple check-in & even a list of local attractions. We appreciated the starter set of items because we arrived after dark & didn’t go anywhere the first night. The community is lovely with many places to walk & everyone we met was very friendly. We made use of the well stocked kitchen for a few meals & coffee every morning. We all agreed we wish we could have had a few more days on our trip to take in even more. I am so happy I found this listing, it is definitely one of the best VRBO experiences we have had.

We enjoyed our stay at Laurel Mist. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The location was great for visiting the towns in the area, Debbie was such a gracious host. Check in and check out was very easy. If back in the area we would definitely stay here again.

I travel often and this rental experience was by far the best! The house was better than advertised. The home was extremely clean and had everything we needed. The location was exactly what we were looking for as it was close to Flagler Ave and the Beach. If I could give a 10 star I would. I highly recommend and will be booking again. Thank you Debbie for being an amazing host!

This location is in a lovely, peaceful setting. The cabin had everything we needed and was very tidy! Debbie & Art are gracious hosts.

Had a great extended weekend with mom and daughter. Safe and comfortable stay—stocked with all the basics you’d hope for—and close to everything. Spent a day at Linville Falls and Caverns. Packed a lunch and hammock for an afternoon relaxing in Price Park Picnic Area. Traveled to Boone and Blowing Rock for great meals and shopping. We also enjoyed walking the amenities, playing in the arcade and relaxing at the beach.

Very comfortable with everything we needed. Very clean, with nice little touches like a bottle of wine and Hershey kisses left for us. Great communication with property manager and immediate responses to any questions. An enjoyable stay for us.

We could not have asked for a better experience! Debbie is absolutely amazing in every way possible! She genuinely cares about her guests and makes sure everything is perfect at all times. The place is absolutely beautiful, clean, and very accommodating. You can't go wrong renting from Debbie. From the time I booked until the time we checked out, she was concerned about us enjoying ourselves. Also the tourist information she provides is above and beyond in every way, as well as sweet, thoughtful gifts. She has spoiled us and we will definitely be contacting her for future getaways. I can't recommend this place and these hosts enough!

We absolutely loved staying here! The property is just as listed. It’s a beautiful mountain location with so much to do on the property. We enjoyed the pool, the game room, the kayaks, the paddleboat and the people. Everyone on site was so nice and made our stay extra special. The house is the perfect size for our family of four, but could easily fit a couple more. We enjoyed local restaurants, scenery and hikes. The hostess Debbie was extremely helpful and nice and very easy to get a hold of. I would recommend this property 10 out of 10 will definitely be back!!!

Debbie was an amazing communicator and accommodated an early check-in since my daughter needed to shower and change for a rehearsal dinner. Perfect location when attending a wedding at Appalachian View. The home has a great layout for our adult daughter, husband and myself. Enjoyed the river trail on property and explored Linville Falls and surrounding area.

Wonderful rental! The area is peaceful with plenty of attractions nearby. The cottage is well stocked, especially the kitchen! Very clean, spotless!

Very clean, nice furniture, good beds. Fully equipped kitchen and everything in good working order. Fabulous host! Two restaurants we really enjoyed were Tin Trout and Louisa’s Rock House.

Firstly I cannot say enough good things about the host Debbie! She was so accommodating and very responsive to any questions we had. My toddler got sick on our trip and she showed true genuine concern. The house was perfect for our family of 4. Very clean and they even left little goodies in each room! The property was perfect for our young family. We have a 2 year old and 4 year old. They enjoyed fishing, all the playgrounds and the beach area! About a 30 minute drive to Tweetsie which was perfect. We also enjoyed going into the tiny town of Newland and Linville that are just about 10 minutes up the road. I cannot recommend this home enough! It was perfect!

This beautiful home was a lovely retreat to the mountains for my family. We got to enjoy the tastefully furnished and updated inside as well as the large, partially covered deck outside. The home is a short drive from town so we got to enjoy a little of the local takeout. We were only about 40 minutes from Boone so we got to explore the Blue Ridge Parkway and take a couple detours to the towns in-between. The communication with the owner was easy and pleasant! They gave us so much useful information about the home, the area, and what to do nearby. We really felt welcome and comfortable in their home.

The cabin was just as you see in the pictures. Debbie was very responsive to any questions and also provided some great information of the area and things to do. It was still a bit chilly in the mountains but it was beautiful and we would stay here again!

We had a great time during our 3 night stay! The neighborhood was very peaceful, and my kids enjoyed using the community game room and fire pit down by the lake. The house was clean and well equipped. The host was very welcoming and immediately responsive to all communications. My kids are already asking me when we can come back! Only downsides were the very firm king bed and an odd smell in the master bath.

The cabin was cozy and comfortable. The community offers so many amenities. Debbie & Art provide so many little extras that really made us feel that we were their guests not just renters. We would definitely stay here or at one of their other properties again.

Staying at “laurel mist” was a delight . It was a time to step away from busyness and give into time of catching up with a long time friend . The little cabin is so well appointed with anything of need at your fingertips . The hostess was so warm and helpful on all info about the area . I would love to step out of the rat race and visit “laurel mist “ again.

What an ideal location for your trip! I needed a getaway for my three day weekend and Debbie and Arts cabin was the perfect spot! My intention was for hiking and exploring around Pisgah, which is what we did. The cabin was very clean, spacious, had all the essentials we needed and more. They even left a lovely welcome gift, which we enjoyed, thank you! Debbie’s communication was above and beyond, she’s an amazing host!

Debbie is a great host, our questions were answered quickly and in a very professional manner. The house was clean and comfortable. Great job! The home is located close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. There are many places to visit off the parkway.

This was a wonderful cabin for my adult daughter and I to spend three nights together catching up. Everything was perfect for us. Before we even arrived, Debbie had called a few days before to answer any questions that we may have. She was very personable on the phone, and I immediately knew that we were in for a great stay. The cozy cabin was very clean, and the decor was nice. My daughter and I enjoyed having our own bedroom/ bathroom ...both beds were very comfortable! Each night we shared a glass of wine on the back porch, and logged into our Netflix/Hulu accounts on the Smart TV to watch movies together. The location could not be beat! It was a perfect home base for our daily adventures. Each day while we were out and about, we looked forward to heading back for a relaxing evening. As I stated earlier, everything was absolutely perfect, and highly recommended!

We had a great time staying at this house near Banner Elk. Everything was just as listed and the Lloyd’s were the nicest hosts! We hiked nearby trails and enjoyed time with friends. We would love to come back when we have more time. The Land Harbor neighborhood has lots of amenities and the house was very comfy! Thank you for being so kind as hosts. We sure hope to return!

The lodging was very clean, there was propane in the grill, all utilities worked as advertised, and the wrap around balcony allowed for many a pleasant evening in the cool mountain air. Communication was reliable with the owner and questions were promptly answered with a very pleasant demeanor everytime. Very highly recommended and thank you!

We enjoyed everything about this vacation! Debbie was very kind and helpful with the questions I asked before we arrived. The house was stocked so well with soap, detergent, paper products, linens etc. that it made it easy to walk in and start our vacation without feeling like we had to run immediately to the store to "set up house'. The Land Harbor community offered something for everyone in our group. We kayaked and used the paddle boat on the lake, hiked the trails, swam in the pool and lake, played shuffle board......so much to do! Would definitely come back and stay again!

My husband, adult daughter, and I loved our stay in this home. Everything was so clean, tastefully decorated, comfortable and welcoming. Debbie, the owner, was wonderful and very quick to respond. We really appreciated her hospitality, and hope to be back soon. The cabin is in a great location for exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway and surrounding area, and the neighborhood is lovely with many amenities.
