Nice house just as identified in the listing, and great to sit out in the morning and evening and enjoy the water and views. We ended up with a heat wave there beginning of June, the A/C units were ok, but needed fans in other rooms and they were provided by the owners, but was still hard to cool down enough during the night in bedrooms. Beds were comfortable. The closets to hang clothes were small, and one bedroom didn't even have any available because they were locked for the owners stuff. The 2nd bath is very small, brought a portable table to use and worked out well. They needed more utensils (forks and knives), and some serving bowls would be nice too. The refrigerator was not hooked up for the water, so no ice and had to buy at the store, but by the time back to the house, it had already melted enough that it formed one big block after we put into the freezer. The dock was great to use for our kayaks, but watch out for the ducks, they like it too (poop and feathers). The water had already turned green from the algae, and by the last day it was really bad as it got hotter. They say normally it isn't this bad this early in the month, just a bad year. There are lots of spiders there, not just the house, but the whole area. After a few days of one car being parked since we generally used the other car, there were spider webs forming on outside of car, crazy.

Our stay here was wonderful and relaxing. The home is beautiful and cozy. Looking forward to our next stay here.

Nice place to stay with family and/or kids. I stayed with buddies for our annual fishing trip to the lake. Tough to get the boat in and out of the road. Also, be aware there is a neighbor near by who watches EVERYTHING. Over all though, I'd stay there again.

This cabin offered the basic needs of what "home away from home" has to offer. If you're looking for fancy things, new and modern - this isn't the place for you. However, pls continue reading for an honest review. The WOW factor of this property is the view and location. How awesome is it to have the lake just a few steps away and a view from just about every window? Yah - pretty awesome. The boat docking space is a BIG PLUS - it wasnt featured much in the photo gallery but it should. The view from the upper deck was really nice. It rained during our stay but the partial wall and covering kept us warm and dry to continue fishing. We brought our fishing boat and the dock provided an easy and safe space for us to get in and out. My husband caught his personal best catfish right from the backyard. This was a highlight of our trip and a nice bday present for him! If you fish -- you will love this property. Clearlake never disappoint during April to June. It houses GIANTS and you will have access to them as you drink your morning coffee. The communication between the owner was also prompt and pleasant. Another plus about our experience! Suggestions if you're reading this and plan on cooking a lot. Bring extra pots/pans. My Filipino mom spent a lot of time in the kitchen and had to cook and wash just to continue cooking. Asian fam --- cooking just 1 dish per meal isn't real eating for her hahahhha Thank you for having us! Will rent again.
