We enjoyed our stay but the location of the hotel is not in a particularly nice area. Breakfast was superb with a terrific choice which of hot and cold which you helped yourself too. Our evening meal was also excellent and the staff were so friendly & efficient. Having said that we were all very disappointed and annoyed that we received through a letter via Hotels.com the day before our arrival from The Best Western Connaught Hotel, informing us we needed to pay £10 per night for parking per car. The hotel informed us that as we had NOT booked directly with them or Best Western that this parking charge had to be paid. To be quite honest we felt totally ripped off with this, as we had paid a substantial amount of money upfront to upgrade to 3x Superior Double Rooms and then had this payment lumped on us at the eleventh hour. On their own Best Western website they promote that parking is FREE. You will have to decide what you feel is the best value way of booking this hotel.

When I arrived the hotel at 11:00 Pm,
Nobody was at reception, necessary to call him from the telephone of reception to come in front desk, when he came was so sad and spoke loudly with no polite shouting front of my face and he looks so sleepy.
That was so terrible and i never see employee like him he was Disrespectful and inappropriate for this place.
Described the man he was bold and fat, white, didn’t wear the tag name.
Never try to go to this hotel without any respect of tourists.
I recommend to not try to visit this hotel as well.

Lovely hotel, great staff, good facilities, wish we had booked an afternoon tea as it looked amazing! Beds comfy, rooms decent, breakfast luke warm if you arrived after 9am, plenty of Choice. The only disappointing fact which was no fault of the hotel, was the neighbouring rooms waking us up at 6am and being able to hear every conversation, and even when they used the bathroom - could def use soundproofing. Other than that, would happily book again.

We have visited this hotel a few times as we love the spa and bar. The staff are polite and the hotel is clean and worthy of its 4 star. They have a great range of gins and lunch was delicious. However… The bathroom in our standard room was tiny!!! It was like an aeroplane toilet and the shower tray was slippy and so small that you couldn’t even step back to wash your hair. I wouldn’t recommend room 34. The spa no longer has loungers which is a big shame as I love relaxing on them and they now have chairs. I don’t think this was a good upgrade. I had a massage which was excellent! It was expensive but worth it and I believe her name was Keesha. We will be back but in a different room for sure!

Certainly not worth the money we paid for it .
We dont know why our extra big bed had a folded duvet in the middle under the sheet.
It felt like we were climbing a mountain.
The settee in the suite was very uncomfortable and small.
The bathroom had rubbish from previous occupants, although it was benind the bath, but still, i found it. The shower still had curly hairs on the walls, not from us,
The afternoon tea was lovely though
We found it slightly petty , that im asking at 2.45 if our room was ready, to be told no it wasnt ,I sayd so in 15 min it will be and she said yes, I found that really petty

However, that’s about where it ends, the room was a little dated, hallways scruffy and the pool and spa is need for modernisation. The steam room has a smell and is dark and dingy, the sauna is unloved.
Overall I felt the hotel wasn’t overly clean, a lot of dust in areas and a general sense of lack of care.
The food in restaurant however, was very good and presented well. The menu was interesting and featured nice options.
At the price I paid, I wouldn’t stay again, it would need to be cheaper. £122 for a superior room where the toilet fan was noisy and the floor creaked, the bed hard and the bathroom shower with black marks, is a little overpriced.
There are other options in the town at a similar price for better quality.

Staff were very friendly & helpful.
Unfortunately the fan made a loud noise and when upstairs room had a shower, our bathroom ceiling leaked. The toilet flush knob came off. I was surprised there were no toilets in pool area/changing rooms and one of the lockers are our pound coin.

Stayed at this hotel many times in the past & very happy with everything it has to offer. Great location, good food, staff & amenities.
My only issue is with the hotels.com rewards scheme I booked with definitely poor to say the least. Although I will be staying with this hotel in the future but booking direct!

We had an enjoyable stay. We feel the bedrooms bathroom & general areas needs a revamp & brightning up. The breakfast tea/coffee help yourself didn’t enjoy. The last time we were there you were served at your table.The staff in the restaurant were excellent as was the food. Suggestion maybe change menu more often in restaurant.

We really enjoyed our stay here, the hotel is one of the more modern hotels in Bournemouth. The hotel is clean and the staff were very friendly & helpful. The spa facilities are really nice and relaxing. We will be returning

Have stayed at this hotel many times previously but was disappointed this time. Breakfast setup has changed since last visit- fewer staff- slow to replace items that had run out- a little chaotic. Swimming pool still a positive and hotel is generally clean. Rooms and building generally could do with updating

The room was quite spacious and the bed really comfortable. I enjoyed using the gym and they were kind to allow me drop off my bags after checkout for several hours. I found it quite unusual that there were no intercoms in the rooms but what you have instead is a WhatsApp line to contact the front desk or any other services I didn’t feel the absence of the intercoms as the staff was very responsive on WhatsApp.
I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

The room was quite spacious and the bed really comfortable. I enjoyed using the gym and they were kind to allow me drop off my bags after checkout for several hours. Overall the room size was tight, shower only no bath but did have a full sized bed (always a plus).
The pool was big enough and at a nice temperature with a large hot tub area. Towels supplied were nice and soft. There were refurbishment going on when we were there so never got to use the garden until the last day. This is a nice calm space to sit.
Used the restuarant once. It was not as good as i had hoped for a two AA rosette. Less than 20 covers but service was still slow. I had the deconstructed beef bourginoin. The meat was lovey but the baby onions tasted like they were taken from a jar and the house roasties had been substituted for a soggy rosti.
Area around the hotel was tired but did have a few nice restaurants and was a short walk from the beach.
