Absolutely the best staff I have encountered!
They take care of every detail. We booked a suite and it was extremely comfortable with a great view. The location was excellent for beach, restaurants and bars. My first time in Rio….but not my last!

Ripping people off. Charging 3.5-4 times more than they should of. Place is nice friendly staff but run very badly. Manager didn’t even want to come to speak to me regarding their extortionate prices because of a summit. Plenty of nice hotels along the strip who don’t rip people off. Be aware

I had a fantastic stay at Portobay hotel right on Copacabana Beach. Even though my flight arrived early, the staff allowed me to use the amenities until my room was ready. The team was very friendly, and my room offered a partial view of the beach. I have no complaints—highly recommend booking this hotel.

Exxon service, great beds, great pillows, great sheets, great food. Perfect location. But again, excellent staff and excellent service. We really felt like we were home here. Thays and Carlinho cared for us like old friends.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. The hotel has service and staff on the beach, with towels, chairs and sun shades.

I was welcomed by Thays at the front desk and she is an absolute sweetheart. She was helpful and answered every question I had. Rafael (not sure if I spelled his name right) was the man who helped me and my boyfriend’s luggages and he was very professional and patient. Carlinhos was a bundle of joy serving my coffee for breakfast. Wellington was also another high spirited gentleman helping me order lunch by the pool side. Breakfast was great and they had plenty of healthy options. Bathroom came with lots of goodies from showering products to skincare. My room felt very cozy. The view was amazing from my room: saw the beach, the Christ statue, and all the beautiful mountains that were around all from my balcony. Overall my experience was amazing and I wish I stood longer. I will definitely go to one of Portobays Portugal locations.

Great hotel! Excellent location and friendly reception—super helpful! No issues whatsoever and safe location. Security guards at front of hotel doors at all times. We got a window view of Copacabana and it was beautiful you can see the entire beach. Rooftop was really nice on top as well

AC did not work in the room. Staff was not able to fix this. First night no other rooms were available. We were offered a change the second night but it was already late in the evening. We end up staying, it was warm in the room but manageable.
