This hotel is quite nice. I had to use it as my flight got cancelled and I got another the following evening so I booked in.
My only issue with the hotel was the maid knocking my door and coming into the room at 8am on a Sunday morning!
Safe to say that was me startled, waking up and jumping out of bed not knowing what was going on!
Surely there should be some system that reception tells the housekeeping when someone has checked out so they can then service the room as opposed to waking people who want to sleep on.

Hotel staff were excellent from the moment of check in to check out.
Room was fantastic and was clean but the wardrobe had not been cleaned from the previous occupent and there was some rubbish left behind.

All in all great place to start your holiday.
Top tip, pay a little more for the top floor rooms and enjoy the planes.

Very short walk from the airport and the monorail link to the NEC and rail links.
Excellent service, reception efficient and polite. Room comfortable and clean although a musty smell from the bathroom .
Breakfast excellent as were evening meals.
Overall a very good hotel to use when visiting the NEC or flying out of Birmingham airport

Went to reception and said we called and they said cot in room - lady on reception said “oh I saw a note about this ..” - not much good a note

30mins later no cot - back to reception
Another 15 mins and finally got it and a cranky infant

Restaurant food is extremely expensive for what it is. The telly didn't work in our room, it is an overpriced Travelodge effectively.

Keycards weren’t working so every time we needed to gain access to the room we had to be let in & when it was busy we ended up hanging around waiting to be let in.
Something basic but orange juice from concentrate, really!?
Also Friday morning at 9:30 there was an extreme lack of cooked breakfast items available & considering breakfast finished at 10 this really was disappointing.
No sports available to view in the bar area of an evening (we ended up walking down to the Novotel) and weirdly we were told that the hotel licence didn’t allow for us to have cocktails?!

Lovely room great staff
HOWEVER, we asked for alarm phone call at 3.45am didn't get. We were fortunately awoken by sister at 4.20am, so had to rush around, with 3 of us trying to get ourselves ready and out to check in by 4 .45am

This hotel is conveniently placed just a short distance from the terminal, so it is an ideal place to stay before an early morning flight. The room was quiet, well set out and comfortable. My only criticism was that it didn't appear to be possible to put on just the small bedside light without putting on the main light in the entrance area, in my room. Other than that, no problems.

I was attending a conference at the NEC and this was a bit offsite but significantly less expensive as I booked it last minute. While a 15-20 minute walk to the NEC it worked.
