Beautiful stay

Ok. Lower end of the five star resorts in Phuket. Great service from the staff. Beach area is nice. Facilities are old but maintained reasonably well. Quite some construction work ongoing.

Dusi a beautiful beachfront location, but it falls short of 5-star expectations. The standout feature is the amazing staff, who are always helpful, smiling, and attentive, greatly enhancing the overall experience. The Club Rooms are nice, comfortable, and well-serviced, though they need some renovation soon. However, the absence of a coffee machine in the Club Rooms seems strange by today's standards, especially with only instant coffee and a thermos(!) provided. (Comical update: After this review was published, and just two days before our departure, the coffee machine was finally delivered to our room—but without a single coffee pod, either paid or complimentary.) The Club benefits are significantly below standard compared to other clubs I've experienced, and the breakfast, while nice, is limited. The Club lounge has no air-conditioned space, making it questionable to enjoy drinking alcohol in tropical 35°C temperatures. Additionally, the smoking policy is outdated, allowing people to smoke everywhere outside, which often results in needing to sit near smokers in the pool area or on the Club balcony. The Club experience is so much below other hotels and resorts that it is not worth paying extra for it here. Poolside service strangely is not available at all, but you can visit the cafe near the pool or purchase beverages from the local vendor operating on the beach outside the resort's boundaries. Dusit Thani is definitely above the market standards for Phuket, yet quite reasonably priced (we came off season). Our net-based hotel booking service made a significant error but, despite understandably sticking to its advertised no-refund policy, the hotel came up with a solution that was very acceptable to us and gave us a better holiday than we could have hoped for. The included breakfast was world class and exceptional variety. It is the staff that make or break a resort, and the staff here are well selected and well trained. The resort opens into a 6km beach, with other resorts in both directions. But ours was cleanest, no rubbish in the sand even after a storm. Dusit Thani is some distance from the major tourist attractions, but that makes the area safer to walk. And taxis are a small cost to pay for staying in a quiet safe area. Highly recommended.

So disappointed that we just stayed only for 2nights. Wish to stay more longer but definitely will come back to Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket again when in Phuket. The staff was really helpful.

Probably the best and most reasonable overall hotel on beautiful Bang Tao beach. Sprawling building in a park-like setting. Most rooms shady with a distant view of the water (ocean or laguna). Nice swimming pool and four restaurants to choose from. Never a shortage of beach loungers. Friendly staff at all levels. Special thanks to Ms. Waraporn at Laguna Cafe for being attentive, friendly and professional in meeting all our daily needs there. The property is somewhat isolated and a trip to stores and restaurants in the nearby community requires a taxi or a hotel-provided shuttle plus a healthy walk.

Nice and friendly staff … Room is great and renovated. Food is good. Housekeeping is average I did not like the gym , small and old , not a good choice if you are a gym trainer. Too much ants at the swimming pool. The floor of swimming pool is bad , easy to get injured as I and my kids had many wounds from the swimming pool. Strange thing , in the front of the hotel at beach side , they sale marijuana , not good if you have adolescent with you

It was a beautiful property. The staff was so helpful. Dont miss the messages at the outside tent area. The ladies were so good. Went for 2-hour message every day and it was heavenly.

This is our second year in a raw staying at the Dusit Thani. We love everything about it. Resort is lovely, staff are fabulous, dining and pool options are great! We will be back next year for sure. Thank you for having us :-)
