We were just pleased -
A very nice person checked us in; the front desk staff would always look up and greet us when we passed the desk.
Bar crew very capable and friendly, as were the restaurant staff.

My stay at this hotel was a mixed bag. Initially, I found the location frustrating due to its proximity to a busy street, which made navigating the area a challenge—I missed my turn twice! However, the valet and front desk staff provided excellent service, and I appreciated how clean and inviting the hotel was. The breakfast menu was a bit limited, but we enjoyed a late dinner after a concert, and the food was quite good—those seasoned fries were a highlight! Unfortunately, I woke up early due to sirens from firefighters across the street, which disrupted my sleep for the rest of the morning. I had hoped for some personalized touches during my stay, but that didn't happen, and I felt a bit let down by that. In summary, while the service and cleanliness were commendable, the noise and location left something to be desired. I might consider looking for a quieter hotel next time to ensure a more restful experience.

Good but feeling a bit dated and rough around the edges in the room. Common areas very clean and nicely presented. Gym is basic at best.

Lovely five star hotel in the fascinating DuPont Circle area of DC. Wonderful service - cleaning or refresh twice a day (needed as the shower setup of half glass wall with a break where a short door is lets water get into the floor and toilet). Service prepares the room for night and provides ice. Very helpful desk and porter at check in who ensured our luggage got up to our room while we waited about 30 minutes for the room to be ready. Easy valet parking (pricey but well done). Comfortable bed. Stocked mini bar. Only downside is the room is best for one traveler- really set up for a business traveler. The bathroom area is in the room itself except for the shower and toilet, meaning when one person gets up at night the light and sink noise will wake up the other person. Also the bathroom glass door does not keep sounds inside.

Great location to Penn Station…walkable to many areas and easy access to the subway… right in the flower district! Which was a pleasant surprise!

Really nice place to stay. We received a good deal through Expedia but otherwise unsure we could afford it. Super nice staff and great service. Rooms were clean and beds were super comfy. A bit away from the national mall, but dupont circle has great food and vibes.

This property is listed as a 4-star place in TRAVEL Magazine for good reason = just about every aspect of a 4-day stay was stellar (service, amenities, location, ambience, decor), and whatever minimal "speed bumps" were encountered along the way (re: some menu items one day or phone message issues on another, for example), each was speedily addressed and remedied so that no room was left for complaint, and guests could depend upon feeling "pampered" throughout.
This was my first time staying at the DCH, but doubt that I could be persuaded to stay anywhere else after this fabulous introduction (& Hello people w/o a car? So MANY restaurants within walking distance a 2-story CVS the Dupont Circle Metro Station just 2 blocks away!)
