Lovely trip. The place has recently been remodeled and it is well done. It is a terrific property.

It was located conveniently, but there were no electrical outlets by the beds. My husband requires a cpap to sleep. We got in after midnight, had to go back out to find an extension cord and all stores close at midnight. It was a rough night. Also, there were silverfish bugs in our bed. We found 3. I would not stay here again. They never restocked towels or toilet paper and we actually stayed 2 days.

Love the look of the room and the beds were so comfortable. We slept great! We stayed in on of the units facing the river with two beds in it. Beautiful view :) The staff was friendly and check in was easy. As far as cleanliness, there were a few crumbs on the desk and minor stains on the bedding so not sure how well it was cleaned. The back of the property smells sometimes (especially if there’s no breeze). Possibly due to sewage in the area? One thing we found was a challenge was that the bathroom and general room area did not have sufficient lighting for applying makeup or during nighttime when hanging out. If you’re planning to read a book at night you may want to bring an extra mini light and extension cord because the outlets are few and far from some of the beds or depending on which side of the bed you’re on. Overall, we had a very pleasant time and would love to visit again.

Our family had a great time on the property. We floated the river down to the property. We had a great time playing pool, swimming at the pool, and being able to have our dog with us. Wish we had a renovated room though since we spent the entire week there.

This is our favorite place in Gruene and surrounding area. It’s so beautiful, easy river access picnic tables and a great pool area. Friendly staff too! This is our spot every time we come to New Braunfels.

Loved the room and friendly staff the only complaints are the upstairs lodge thing is super hot, not sure if it’s because the sky light but maybe a better AC unit and the shower the water runs right out into the bathroom so had to put towels to soak up the water other than that great place!

I loved this place. The hotel sits on the banks of the Guadalupe River and has its own tube/canoe rental on the grounds. The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate your requests. There is a pool if the river isn’t your favorite. Upon check-in, a beverage is offered. Our room was very clean and the beds were awesome. I cannot say enough good things about the hotel.

From the door handle that didn’t work properly, condensation on the window, sink drain broken, tub/shower leaking, holes in the tub covered with glue or whatever it was, dust on the lamps, I wouldn’t have stayed there if I would’ve arrived earlier and not at the night time. I reported the leakage and sink issue when I checked out and I was told they will remodel this room 108 this next week.

Wifi was little to non existent, and if you have 3 kids like I do you know how important this is at night on trips. Hotels provide ice, this is basic. They expect you to buy bags of it. The floor above the room is so thin you heard every movement of the people above, or in our case heard every crazy running around of the dog or toddler above us until 11:15pm, and then again at 7:15am on. Wont be back.

Easy walk down to the river with a tubing outfitter on site. They are updating property but overall was in good shape. Staff was very friendly and helpful when we needed them. Would stay here again.

Found this place on a whim and turned out to be one of the best finds ever! We loved the hospitality of check in office, and the property itself is amazing. It was nice to take a morning walk down to the river and grill at night and/or have our own kitchenette to do cooking too. The whole area was full of friendly people. We will definitely be back!

sooo happy with our stay! the room was sooo clean when we arrived. the ac worked tremendously, after a long day in the sun we came home to a nice clean and cold room. the area of the room was convenient for our stay, right on the river. i will definitely be staying at this hotel when i stay in town.

We thought it was a great room and a very nice cozy room. The area was great and nearby things we did. We would love to stay at this place again

Property is amazing, staff were very nice. Rooms were dated and mattresses were noisey even to move on. Rooms are in the process of being updated.
