Although the property has a history with original buildings that are inaccessible, the amenities are modern with a farmhouse feel. Walking through the property, I was struck by the charm of it. The new pools, cozy coffee shop, and delicious menu in the restaurant we're all exceptional.

My kids loved the new pool! It was cold walking back and forth but it was nice that it was heated! We love escaping to the Homestead when we need a get away during a long break.

This place was so wonderful, better than I could have imagined. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. The setting was incredible. ALL of the staff were the peak of professional. I witnessed another guest complain about other staff and berate staff at the front desk. They never faltered, maintained professionalism and composure. They shouldn't have had to deal with that, but they did their job and I want to give them specifically 5 stars. Will definitely be back.

Wonderful accommodations. Candace was wonderful and very helpful. The property has been updated and is beautiful. We hate to tell anyone about it cause we don’t want to have it become overcrowded. But it truly is so amazing and beautiful.

The network for the television was not working and even though a staff member “fixed” it 3 times it didn’t work longer than about 5 minutes. The forth time I finally called the front desk to talk to someone and had to leave a message. I requested some level of compensation but never heard another word from them.

We decided to take a little anniversary trip here for a night. The property itself was beautiful, we did some Golfing and walked around a bit. When we tried to check in the systems were down and we were never given a key, and all the other rooms had keys.The sweet girl at the front desk had to let us in our room until they could find our key, and we were told we would have to go back to the front desk to have them let us in everytime. Once in the room there is a slot on the wall that says to put your key in for power, however we had no key. When we called the front desk from our cell phone we had a bad connection and they were not very polite when we asked about the power, I guess any card works but we were never told until we called. I would like to try to give them another chance when all the systems are working, but it was not the greatest first experience.

Upon arrival systems were down and check in took 45 minutes and was very unprofessional. Finally get to our room which was nice but there was mice poop on our bed. Later in the evening and throughout the night the room began to smell of sewage that was so strong it woke us up. I expected more for spending over $400 for one night.

The property is great and the staff is great. I don’t recommend Simmons as a good eating option but 1886 grill is pretty good.

Loved our stay at the Homestead. Will definitely stay here again. The newly renovated rooms are gorgeous and very clean The swimming pool and pool area is beautiful. Also enjoyed golfing. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Beautiful property in a beautiful place. The rooms were spectacular. The pool is breathtaking.

Staff attentive and supportive, however property in middle of major expansion with heavy equipment. Walk to pool is circuitous past construction zones, dirt in pool from blowing construction debris. Booked room with King bed for to my height and on check-in discovered not available... Expedia not able to cancel transaction without penalty, decidedly UNFAIR

There’s a lot of construction going on to renovate the property. I definitely think it will be pretty nice in the future but for now, it all felt half done. The property is huge. There’s a ton of walking to get to your room, depending on where you’re located on the property. No one offered to help with bags. We had the premium king room which was very spacious. Had a sink and mini fridge and a fold out couch and a neat little reading nook. The walls are pretty thin. We could hear the people in the adjoining room. Our TV didn’t work, the front desk did send someone out to fix it, and he stated they had been having problems with this unit. He was able to fix it and it worked for about 10 minutes then went out again and it wasn’t worth trying to fix again. We also tried to turn the AC down all the way as it was pretty warm, but that didn’t really help. It took forever to cool down, we eventually just opened the windows as it got cold at night, but then you have to hear everyone walking by. One of the largest issues is the bedroom. There’s a nice large half moon window that lets in the beautiful natural light, unfortunately there’s no cover or curtain for it. So at night all of the ambient light from the buildings comes in and there’s no way to sleep in, sunlight comes in as soon as the sun comes up. Overall the property is beautiful, great location in the mountains, it has golf if you’re into that, I think it could be better, but for the price it was just ok.

Super clean and relaxing enviornment. It will be really great once all the renovations are done.
