We booked a non smoking room, the very fabric of which smelled of sale cigarette smoke. Both gentleman on reception had the attitude of 'what's your problem'

The breakfast buffet was limited compared to other hotels in Germany. It was noisy and quite hot as the windows only open a little bit at the top, which is usual for Germany, but right in town I think AC is needed. I did ask for a fan and they delivered one so that did help.

Great staff and very friendly! There is a restaurant down below and breakfast was included with the stay. Only draw back is there is no ac, but that should be expected. The location is super close to the train/bus station and a short walk to the shops. My family loved the stay and we would definitely go back!

Overall experience was great. Staff there were really helpful and nice. There is no air conditioning, it may possibly a problem to some people. I was lucky that it didn't borther me much.

Nice hotel. Has rooms to accommodate 3 persons. No temperature or air control in the room other than leaving windows open and we were right next to a construction lot.

The view is amazing. Many walkable places to eat. Most of the places I visited only accepts cash. Staff was very friendly. The room I stayed was very good for the price. Only bad thing about the rooms is that they don’t have A/C. Had to keep the windows open and then you hear everything on the outside.

Very friendly. I like the people in Birchtesgaten. Hotel provided guest card to room guests so that we travelled to attractions free.

The hotel is situated directly opposite the train station/bus stop. Transport links are superb. The hotel room was excellent and the staff were very friendly and very helpful.

A very clean spacious room and bathroom with a view of the mountains. Breakfast included. Indoor garage only for 5 euros. Two minute drive from old town center.

Well-run, well-kept hotel. The rooms are large and very nice. We had everything we needed with mountain views from our room. The traffic is busy outside, but it's also convenient for walking 1 min to pubic transportation.

I loved staying at Hotel Schwabenwirt! The staff gets an A for helpfulness! Unfortunately I didn’t get her name, but one of the receptionists felt like a friend by the time we left, as she had helped us multiple times throughout our stay in addition to check in and check out. Breakfast being included was convenient and helpful for keeping costs down and getting going with our activities earlier in the day than if we had to go find somewhere to eat breakfast. We highly recommend this stay for anyone visiting Berchtesgaden without a car and relying on public transportation, as it is right across the street from the train and bus station. Our only qualm was that our room faced the street, and the noise was loud until things calmed down late at night, especially since we had the window open pretty much constantly to regulate the temperature.
