Charming hotel and convenient to the center. Be sure to reserve a taxi ahead of time as getting there on foot by bus with luggage is an experience. Very friendly staff and plenty of lovely spaces to lounge in. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff was very accommodating. The breakfast buffet was bountiful and very tasty. Loved that there was an elevator so I didn’t have to lug my luggage up the stairs. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Cortona.

I would say your bed pillows are more like seat cushions and hard as rocks.

Fabulous hotel, in a wonderful location with incredibly friendly and helpful staff.
We have stayed several times at Hotel San Michele and it is consistently clean, quiet, great value with amazing staff. Their family rooms are brilliant with two separate spaces (and air con!) and breakfast is superb with excellent choices.
We will be back!

Very nice room. I was very ill during our stay here and the staff helped us out a great deal. Only complaint was the shower was so small I barely fit in it. At 6’1” 210 lbs. that’s not an obese body but I could barely shower there.

We had a lovely stay and wished we could have stayed longer. We stayed at Hotel San Michelle two years ago and definitely wanted to stay there again. It is located just a few steps from the town square, shopping and wonderful dining spots. I will recommend Hotel San Michelle to friends who are going to Italy this fall.

Very helpful staff who parked our car in the difficult to manage car park. Great cleaning staff. We had marvelous views from our terrace. The hotel is old, but they have done their best to add modern amenities.
We would have liked some warning that the water left in our refrigerator was not complimentary. That was our only niggle over a hotel we would definitely recommend..

This is a fantastic hotel. We highly recommend it for a stay in Cortona. The hotel parking is fantastic, and the building is most interesting. But, above all it is the staff who are exceptionally good. So helpful and knowledgeable—really an amazingly good experience, right in the heart of the old city.
