Excellent location but that is about it. The hotel itself is quite outdated and tired looking. It needs a proper renovation. Additionally service was not a 5* service, not even a 4* service. Unfortunately it seems like Movenpick's standard has significantly gone down.

I have stayed at the Movenpick on and off for the past 10 years and the service has always been excellent. The current management and team under Mohammed Al Khlaqi provides a true "home from home" experience and I always enjoy truly excellent Indian food and attentiveness at the Maharaja restaurant. In my view, the best place to stay in Al Khobar.

A three night business stay at this great hotel, at which I've been staying for many years. The staff are courteous and friendly and there are a number of very nice touches, such as Arabian coffee and dates in the foyer and a live musician in the evenings. And as for the Marharaja restaurant, it is truly exceptional! A real "home from home" experience.

Saudi Arabia is a wonderful destination to begin with, but the hotel experience made it even more special. The one thing that I loved the most is that whomever you approached with an inquiry or request, they would NOT send you in circles; even if they had nothing to do with the operational aspect that you happened to address, THEY would get the information / solution. No "please call so-and-so" or "go-there-and-there" - THEY took care of it (and immediately), and that applied to everyone I asked something, from reception to catering to room service. Everything else (cleanliness, comfort, etc.) was great, too. Never stayed at a Movenpick before but if this is their global standard, then it could be my new hotel of choice during travels anywhere.

Although I informed them that we are coming for our anniversary celebration at the hotel. They didn't bother themselves in doing anything for us. Disappointed as I thought they do care like other good hotels.
