Excellent stay! Cross Hotel was very clean, comfortable and centrally located for sightseeing in Kyoto. We arrived about 2 hours prior to check-in time and our room was ready early, which was such a pleasant surprise! We didn't need much in terms of service - but the front desk staff were always courteous. They helped store our luggage after check out and called a cab for us to head to the train station. We'd happily stay here again next time we're in Kyoto!

I had a wonderful weeklong stay at the Cross Hotel. The rooms are very well appointed, very well soundproofed in a quiet area. The hotel is new and lovely as well as being next to all kinds of shops and dining options. Staff was friendly and professional. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and varied

Poor service offer - staff is polite, breakfast ok - really expensive for what it is! You should rethink your business model or your rates…

Location was great! Close to Sanjo station which makes things easy for any time you need to use the train/subway. Quite a few Food/restaurant options nearby. Everything is walking distance which is great. The rooms are smaller than usual, our room didn’t even have a window.

We came back from dinner and saw a small cockroach running underneath the desk. I took pictures and showed it to the front desk immediately..seemed like it happened before as the staff wasn’t too surprised, rather annoyed that “cockroach still around”. Soon another staff carried the pesticide spray to our room didn’t find it..They switched us to another room on the same floor. This was first time we’ve seen bug/insect in hotel room, very unpleasant experience. Other than the bug incident, Cross hotel offers excellent service and facilities…

Location was fabulous for bus lines, restaurants, shopping, strolling Ponto Cho and walking to Gion. Room was spacious and comfortable. The only negative was some obvious filth on the bathroom floor and wall when we arrived.

Great location close to shopping , dinning and transportation. Hotel staff is helpful and nice and able to assist with restaurant reservation. Rooms are very small but bed is large and comfortable. Breakfast buffet is very good with many western and Japanese options. The breakfast room is beautiful but not well designed for when it is at capacity as it is very tight. Overall a very good stay and recommended !!

What a fantastic stay. Hotel was super clean and conveniently located near the Pontosho Alley restaurant street and easy (less than 10 minute) walk to the Gion Historical area and Nishiki food market. Beds were very comfortable but only one thin pillow was provided by the hotel.

Large comfortable, clean and quiet rooms. In a good location, walking distance to lots of attractions and good food places close by. The staff were incredibly helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, they were so kind and very helpful with any request we had. We highly recommend for any stay in Kyoto!

Our stay at Cross Hotel Kyoto was amazing! it was such a great location - for restaurants, shopping and bars. You do need to take a taxi to see the sights or to the train station but it's the perfect location to come back to after you are done with any sightseeing you wish to do. Mostly everything you would like to do other than that is either walking distance or a short cab ride away! Staff was also very helpful - i left something in my room and it was shipped to our next hotel in Tokyo in under two days!
