Such a beautiful stay for our honeymoon, it was super close to all the shops and restaurants in Gion which is a beautiful part of town in Osaka. The reception staff were so friendly, and super accomodation for any questions or recommendations you may have. We got the garden room which was honestly a sight to look at, the floors were tatami and had the best sleeps ever. Highly recommend this spot to anyone coming to Kyoto

We had a great stay at Gion Misen it was the perfect type and location of property to capture the feel of being in Kyoto. It was easy to get to from the train station and we were able to walk to major areas of interest. Beverages were provided 24 hours and there were laundry services one block from property. Staff was attentive and made some great food recommendations. We would definitely stay again.

We had a great stay at Gion Misen it was the perfect type and location of property to capture the feel of being in Kyoto. It was easy to get to from the train station and we were able to walk to major areas of interest. Beverages were provided 24 hours and there were laundry services one block from property. Staff was attentive and made some great food recommendations. We would definitely stay again.

This hotel is a gem. This was our second stay here and we would go back again in a heartbeat. Beautiful interior with many small crafted architectural details, hand made pottery, etc. Excellent and helpful service, great Japanese style breakfast, comfortable rooms, and the Gion neighborhood is just magical.

The rooms are spacious it’s a ten minute walk to the famous Gion geisha district the staff were friendly and helpful the bed was comfortable the shower is insane and the room was clean no complaints!

Goin Misen was a bit of Old Kyoto. Our room had a Japanese garden outside main window. The entire staff was excellent in their desire to assist us. Very quiet surroundings. I will recommend this hotel to family and friends traveling to Kyoto. We will definitely stay here again!! Our appreciation to all the staff!

We can really recommend this hotel. The room was quite big and very clean. The beds were really comfy (room #501) and the location of the hotel was definitely useful for every kind of trips to certain locations. 10/10!

Wow - what a great hotel! Beautiful rooms, lots of attention to detail. Everything was perfect and what a location- right in the heart of gion and a street away from the river. The bath tub / bathroom were my favourite in Japan

A 7-11 just around the corner, which we used for breakfast and many other items (including Pokémon cards for my son!). Couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay in Kyoto.

Lovely clean quiet gem of a place. Very intimate away of the crowds. Room and bathroom well designed to maximise the space. So glad we chose to stay. Staff were wonderful too.

This property is on the smaller size. The room has a nice design, but lacking counter space (think of no room for laptop). It is on the outskirt of gion so it is about a 10-15 mins to center to gion tourist area.

Beautiful, cosy, comfortable, convenient and unique. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We were lucky enough to be there for one of the hotel’s Maiko evenings and it was a highlight of our stay in Kyoto.
