My husband, myself and our daughter stayed for one night on Monday December 9th in a 1 bedroom suite. This was our 3rd or 4th time staying at the Village Suites as we’ve also stayed at the Westin a few times previously. This was by far the worst customer service we have received at check-in. I checked in at 5pm and there were two receptionists checking in 4 different parties ahead of me and I stood in line for 15 minutes while the Duty Manager, Des, sat at a computer right behind them clearly just doing ‘busy work’ and purposely avoiding making eye contact with people waiting or assisting their staff or guests whatsoever.
For the marginal difference in cost of staying at the Westin that is where we will be staying going forward which is a shame because we like the location and the rest of the staff at the Village Suites more in general. However, to have a manager be the one who is giving terrible customer service sets a bad tone for the rest of the staff and trip for guests. Very disappointing.

Overall we had a great experience. Check in was quick and easy and they even let us check in about an hour earlier which was nice. Front desk was very helpful and they provide you with a phone number you can text throughout your stay with any questions. The room was clean and spacious. The kitchenette was a huge plus. The location was perfect. Right in the village so we didnt have to use our car at all. We just walked to everything we wanted to do. The hotel also offers free outdoor parking or paid underground parking which was really nice to have the option. We will definitely be back.

The unsupervised hockey team that was running around and very loud between 7 and 11, was quite annoying. Security came twice. Other than that, it was a great night away.

One downfall is the night noise. Right beneath our window (poutine and ice cream places) people were so loud we were up very late (1:30am), it was like they were in the room with us. Maybe some soundproofing is necessary if you can’t control businesses beneath/outside.

Fantastic service, as always and we had a wonderful room on the top floor with a balcony overlooking the village. I don’t think the heating/cooling was working properly in our room though, it was mostly too hot during our two day stay and there was no way of cooling it. Overall we really enjoyed this stay and appreciate the polite and friendly service.

Check in was simple, although its a bit of a trek from the free parking to the actual hotel (unless you pay for preferred parking). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and had everything you could need.

Our stay was amazing! If it’s a week night and you plan on getting food on arrival, make sure to check the closing time of the food courts. The attractions were awesome! A great place for a getaway.

Our last minute trip to Blue Mountain Village for the weekend turned out to be a fantastic decision! Joy in the Activity / ticket center made our trip soooo much better with her patience, knowledge and kindness. She explained patiently what each attraction was about & the costs associated with them and the benefits of a play all day pass! 5 * Service :)

The suite we stayed in was spacious and good for my family. We travelled with a toddler, so we needed a lot of space! Also really like that our hotel was right in the village, which was really convenient for us. This place is perfect if you are travelling with littles!

We had a two seat balcony with the view over the village center - was amazing!!! The kitchen was a bonus, being able to prepare our lunches was very convenient for our day trips hiking. We spent our 25th anniversary in Style. The hotel left us a card with chocolates and two swans with pink peddles on our bed. Had complete privacy. Easy access to the village.We will be back.

I enjoyed my stay until the last day. As I was packing to leave at 10:30 a staff knocked at the door to let me know they were cleaning and it was time for me to leave even though check out is 11am....... that was very unpleasant.
