Nice and cozy hotel close to the skiing lifts. The spa was amazing! And so was the breakfast.

The check in was terrible. The absolute definition of not to be customer oriented right from the get go. The person at the reception was rude and was very argumentative about the check in time after I proofed her wrong and she diverted to impose to sign the reservation……horrible bad! The next surprise was that we had to get our luggage back in to the car and had to drive to an offsite location/biopsy not as advertised. We had to go 2 floors up to enter the two rooms we booked. To me I don’t understand how the have awarded the 4 stars ….unbelievable! My list of criticism could go on and on……cleanliness smell building issues you name it. Normally I do not write any reviews, but in this case I had to just for the simple reason to warn people to book that fake accommodation!

Spacious, nice apart. Fantastic kitchen with everything you need, so it is convenient when you stay longer. Gives an 'at home' feeling. Huge TV for long evenings if you go in winter or cold season. Convenient location. Walking to restaurants, shops.
If you have an apartment in the ground floor, don't park your car in front of the building, you can take your luggage inside directly from the terrace in the rear parking.

The apartment we rented was not in the resort. Rather in a separate building which was fine with us due our wanting to have our own meals and more room to move around in, than a basic hotel room.
It was well equipped and clean. The furniture was very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and there was a great TV (even if there were only 2 english stations) even thought we did not really need it.
The front desk people were very helpful and the language barrier was really not an issue. All in all it was a very nice accommodation.
We would recommend the Avital to anyone visiting Winterberg.

The apartment we rented was not in the resort. Rather in a separate building which was fine with us due our wanting to have our own meals and more room to move around in, than a basic hotel room.
It was well equipped and clean. The furniture was very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and there was a great TV (even if there were only 2 english stations) even thought we did not really need it.
The front desk people were very helpful and the language barrier was really not an issue. All in all it was a very nice accommodation.
We would recommend the Avital to anyone visiting Winterberg.

We booked a last minute holiday in Avital apartments as hotel rooms were sold out.
Reception was very welcoming and friendly, very fast and straight forward, perfect english spoken.
Apartments were located as said, 200 mt up a little hill, short walk! Apartments were super clean and modern. We had everything we needed, we didnt cook but I bet if we had we would have found everything there.
We paid breakfast in hotel and walked every morning to the hotel building. Nice way to start the day with the fresh breeze down the hill. Breakfast was good, fresh fruits, many kind of deli meats and cheese, breads. Fresh egg counter and you can even squeeze your orange juice.
Wellness are was nice and peaceful, you could have water there and even fresh apples!.
I only tried the pool, with good temps but didnt try the sauna but it looked nice.
We have already booked for next year and this time hotel room!.

We stay at the hotel while skiing in Winterberg area. The hotel is located close to everything in Winterberg. We had a family room - very spacious, ideal for a family. The facilities are really good - especially the pool was popular with our kids. We only have two thing that can easily be improved:
1. WIFI - the speed and stability was not impressive at all.
2. Breakfast - fine variation and selection, but refilling on the various items was slow.
