Gorgeous hotel. Michael at the front desk was a pleasure and Andrew at the bar made phenomenal drinks. The hotel is very well appointed with gorgeous finishes. Walkable to King Street. Bed was comfortable- would stay again in a second.

My new favorite Old Town hotel! This property is stunning, well-staffed, and located in the middle of everything. I was disappointed that the rooftop deck wasn't open as promised, but even the view out the door was nice.

The hotel is in a great location and was quiet. However, there was a fowl odor in the lobby and it flowed into their restaurant too. That alone is a huge turn off.
In addition, the deadbolt for our room did not line up. So, they need to fix these things asap in my opinion.

Adorable boutique hotel. Everything was wonderful including the valet service, staff and the room. The only complaint is that I booked a Deluxe King room that said “city views.” I chose the deluxe room at a higher cost for that reason. I asked the desk clerk and he very nicely explained they do not have city views. He also said I am the second person that questioned the description and that he would talk to the manager to fix the description on Hotels.com

The hotel is in a perfect area to do all things Old Town related. The staff was wonderful. Rooms are a little small, but not bad. Our biggest problem was that the bathroom door was see thru and they had a huge mirror that angled directly from the bed into the bathroom door. Anyone using the bathroom was completely visible to anyone else in the room no matter where they were.

First stay in this hotel - very nice stay, beautiful decor and very clean! Loved the rooftop bar in the afternoon for drinks, went up later in the evening and the music was a little loud for our taste but everyone else seemed to enjoy

The hotel is beautiful. I plan to stay again next trip! The room is very small, but it was fine for one person. I did ask for my room to be serviced, but it was never done. The front desk staff, while very friendly, seemed to be a bit green.

Very nice hotel in a good location. Be advised that there are no grab bars in the shower, which also has gloss tile flooring. And no nonbreakable beverage containers for the bathroom either. A couple safety hazards to be aware of.

The hotel and the staff are amazing. The hotel is beautiful, clean and very convenient to walk all of King street. The staff (especially Rosie) went above and beyond to host us and fulfill our requests.

Great Hospitality, nice room, only suggestion I would add a luggage rack to the room to put our suitcase.
Dining at the KILN restaurant was a wonderful experience, Chef Matt and his staff surprised us with a wonderful menu full of surprises and very creative food that made our palate tickles . Bravo ! 👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥😋

Hotel Heron is lovely. I treated myself to a 5-course dinner at Kiln, relaxed in the lobby and enjoyed every moment I spent in my wonderful hotel room. Being a block away from King Street was a huge bonus!! There were a number of restaurants to chose from and so many fantastic boutiques.

First night was rough, had a corner room where a door leading to three others kept slamming. The guests were loud and obnoxious for several hours of the night. We wanted to move rooms and were willing to downgrade but the staff were concerned about our wellbeing and upgraded us. It was very nice and we were extremely grateful. The hotel itself if beautiful, the valet is easy and quick, and the staff were always accommodating.

We stayed for our ten year wedding anniversary. Not only was the staff accommodating but went above and beyond to make our stay perfection. The corner king suit had beautiful views, the suit was well done and luxurious. The roof top bar with DJ was a great way to finish off a night out. We highly recommend staying here, dinning at Murphy’s and finishing off with desert from Lily’s Chocolate & Coffee. Brunch at Hen’s Quarters was also fantastic!

Everything was excellent except the parking situation. They have parking but you have to $45 a night which I think is very high after spending almost $300 a night . I think they need to lower the price but other than that stay was amazing

Heron Hotel was amazing from the room to the super friendly staff. My daughter and I had the most wonderful experience. The beds were super comfortable, and the room was clean. My daughter even had a stuffed animal, a box of chocolates, and a handwritten note awaiting her on her bed! I have never seen such attention to detail. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for quality accommodations with a friendly smile. We will be back next time we are in the DC area!

Hotel Heron’s staff was friendly every time we walked into the lobby, and they could answer all of our questions quickly. The area was so fun to walk down to the water and there were a lot of dining options. The hotel’s appearance was clean and very fun!

Hotel Heron is brand new and has a cool vibe to it in Old Town! Everything is nice but feels like it has some character unique to the area

Brand new. that's the main impression we took away from Hotel Heron. The three main requirements for a good stay were all met; great bed, great shower and great location. Beautiful escape from the heat on the rooftop bar. Some small glitches in operation just showed how new everything was, and we couldn't have had a more enjoyable time. Hope to visit again to see how the hotel evolves.
