Overall my stay was fine.
The area where I was a bit concerned was the mould smell in the bathroom. There was no seal around the tub and water gets behind it and there did appear to be active mould.

Great property in heart of Kyoto. Easy access to all bus lines ( it is transportation hub) along with jr train lines. Use JR pass to get to every major tourist attraction in city. Only thing missing is a pool .

Perfectly located around the corner from Omiya Station to get to Kyoto central and the Randen train line to commute to Arashiyama, as well as nearby bus stations, convenience stores, pharmacies and vending machines. The reception staff are very helpful, and assisted us 24/7 in booking massages, dinner reservations as well as helping with laundry. Great value for the quality of rooms and high level of customer service - I would highly recommend Hotel M Plus Shijo Omiya to anyone wanting a clean, cost-effective and conveniently located accommodation in Kyoto.

Hotel is overall very good for short stay. Need to highly recommend the mattress, the most comfortable one I have in the hotels. Sleep so well.

I highly recommend this place . Rooms r nice n not too small. Very clean n modern n bed is comfortable n air conditioning is outstanding .within 5 min walk to subway n bus stops n 7/11 in the corner n family mart across the street. Taxi from Kyoto station was 1800 yen. Nice n helpful staff .

Staff was very nice and helpful. What I dislike is the room has no view, the window can open sideways and all you can see is a wall to the next building

Pretty good location. Service at the front desk were excellent. Room was small but enough for 1 or 2nights stay. Coupoes of things were bit dusty but we didn't mind.

Got this hotel through the reviews I read, just as mentioned, the hotel location is awesome, got to all of the tourist sites on public buses and close to Kyoto Station.
Service is excellent, room is small but clean and new and the laundry facility is a big plus
