Great hotel if you’re looking for a quiet place with an amazing view of the mountains. Not too far from the city and lakeside via taxi. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel to anyone in the future.

Very relaxing stay in the mountains 🏔 The staff is one of the friendliest I’ve encountered in over 86 countries of travel. On my last day the concierge offered to complimentary call the airlines to get on an earlier flight so I didn’t have to wait till the late afternoon. They were truly amazing.

The View from the room was excellent and very beautiful. We were lucky, 1 day was really sunny, the Annapurna Mt was really clear to watch from the room!.
However, when we about to sleep arround 1 am. we found some bed bugs (some were dead, some were still alive!) under our pillows. Called Reception, asking for bed sheet change since we were really tired to change room, etc. No Housekeeping, the bell man was the one who helped us to change, and when we removed the layers of the sheets, we found a spider under!
Really they need to do general cleaning!
alright, next morning, I asked for extend 1 more night since it was the plan since before, they gave me discount for the room. But never heard any apologize from what happened last night, even the manager was there and knew about it.
Couldnt take pic of spider since it ran off

I always love staying at the Himalayan Front. The service is great. The food is good and affordable. It’s quiet and relaxing which can be a welcome change from Lakeside. This is my favorite place to stay in Nepal and I’ve stayed in a lot of different places. This was our third or fourth time. Well done Himalayan Front!

We chose this hotel to relax and recover from staying in hospital in Kathmandu after a urinary infection. We had stayed there for two days, during which it rained and hailed a lot and because there is nothing else on walking distance we ate all meals in the hotel’s restaurant. During these two days there were hardly any guests, which made us worry how they managed to stay open. At first the food in the restaurant was ok (apart from them asking us if we wanted mineral water or ‘normal’ water, the later is dangerous to drink for foreigners, because of giardia and viruses etc), but then during the second day in the evening, I contracted severe bacterial food poisoning from their food (we only ate their restaurant food, no snacks in between, we didn’t bring any), ending up in hospital for two days. I spoke with the manager while in hospital, he said they didn’t have a case of food poisoning in 2,5 years, so it couldn’t have been from their kitchen. But it’s absolutely certain I contracted the food poisoning from their kitchen, I would not recommend eating here again if your life depends on it, definitely not 4* hotel worthy. The swimming pools looks nice, but because of the weather and then being in hospital we didn’t get to swim in it.
The bathroom in the hotelroom smelled really bad, a sewage smell, but this could have been due to the heavy rain. The view from the rooftop terrace is beautiful.
