Not enough restaurants and the television should not be on Spanish cause you do have other cultures from around the world don’t speak Spanish! The steak house we was told we did not need reservations but ended up we did!! !! The front desk people were terrible with customer services!!! I will not be coming back

Not good at all. Lots of incovinience for me and my family members in just one night staying. We had to leave the hotel next day.

Property was clean and quiet,only down fall was hotel didnt accommodate Americans too much tv channels not in English, Entertainment all in Spanish wish they accommodated Americans more and also didnt know we had to pay a local tax im pesos whem we got to hotel definitely wasn't expecting that. But overall had a good time, Would definitely book through Expedia again

Great food

This was my second time at RIU Cancun. We got an ocean view room and the views were amazing. The restaurants were all great, we tried all of them except the Mediterranean one. The service was great as well. Parking is easily accessible and close to the lobby high was super convenient. Overall we had a great experience, the only annoying part was the key to get into the room, we had to go to the lobby once every single day to get a new key as the key wouldn’t work.

This hotel is a great location, you can walk to convenient stores within minutes. The beach is really nice and also the ferry is right next to it to cross to Isla Mujeres. The staff was super nice with the exception of one of the main hotel directors, Paulo. My mom an my daughter went to one of their restaurants for breakfast and my mom asked if she could sit in any table of if they were going to be assigned a table, his response was “ you can sit in any or even on the floor.” I thought that was very disrespectful/rude coming from a “director.” It made my mom feel very uncomfortable as she didn’t expect that service from him. All other employees were exceptional.

We didn’t like how Restaurants have same menu everyday .we didn’t like how salads with bacon served as an appetizer .we don’t eat bacon. Sorry but appetizers menu should have more choices. But we did like the fast service and welcoming staff at riu hotel.

Location is the best!!

Everything was very good ,but some of the waiters were stucking for the tips.like everything is money all the time. Too add on the waiters keep on harassing for tip and even follow and bother you when eating. The bartenders and waiters kept on harassing me and my son for tips. they made my family vacation experience very uncomfortable and full of harassment.

Me and my wife celebrated our honeymoon at this resort. Although I was surprised how uncomfortable the bed was haha. We loved every bit of our stay aside from sleeping arrangements haha.

Exceeded our expectations! The resort was beautiful and spacious, offering a wide variety of dinner options with excellent food. The breakfast buffet had an extensive selection to choose from. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. We attended two Riu Parties at Riu Caribe. The party starts at Riu Cancun, where you can enjoy music, face painting, and a photo booth while waiting for your shuttle. The only downside we encountered was the lack of airport transportation, even if you are a Riu Class member when booking through a third party.

I paid extra for a suite. The air conditioner did not work. For the first 2 days I had to deal with trying to get it fixed. Finally, after talking with other guests that were also in Suites, I requested to move to the main building. They also reported the air was not working. I had to sign a waiver that i was down grading rooms. This was Definitely not a 5 star facility!!! The rooms were very run down. The shower had mold in the main building. No one offered a refund to the difference in price. I will not be back and will not recommend!!!!

Great costumer service that’s the reason I keep coming back

The property isn’t bad but for what they’re charging, you can stay at a neighboring five star property… Hotel does not have room service and only has limited dining hours and options. Kind of gets tiring eating the same thing every day. The room was hot. The beds were crappy. This is a lower end of the totem pole budget. Stay spend an extra hundred bucks and stay at a five star.
