Über diese hausUnterkunft
Summary:
This fantastic, spacious 4-bedroom Cambridge terrace home is full of character, child-friendly and nestled in the vibrant and cosmopolitan Romsey area.
The Space:
It is the perfect place to stay for a group of up to 8 people or a family with children.
The house is a 15-minute walk from the station. There are regular buses, taking just 10 minutes to journey into Cambridge. Guests can also hire bicycles at the station, which is the quickest and most cost-effective way to get around Cambridge and out to some beautiful spots along the Cam River. Just 3 minutes away on a bicycle or a run you have the Chisholm Trail, which takes you to the beautiful Ditton and Stourbridge Common and the river bank. From the house to a herd of cows (in spring and summer) in 5-10 minutes.
Guest Access:
Featuring 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a kitchen, living area and a large, well cared for garden.
The Neighborhood:
Why not take a stroll from the house along Mill Road towards the city centre? At the top of our street, there is a small supermarket, but also on Mill Road, there are several independent food stores: Harvest for organic food; Mill Road Butchers; Al-Amin for Asian and world foods; and Seoul Plaza for Korean and south-east Asian supplies. Mill Road is the most cosmopolitan part of the city - with great delis, secondhand / thrift clothes and books shops, coffee shops, pizza restaurants and curry houses.
If you want to stay home, get a takeaway meal from Curry Flame up the street. Over the bridge from Romsey to Petersfield, you will find the ‘beer quarter’, including Calverley’s craft brewery and at least 6 other lovely pubs to quench your thirst. Along the north side of Mill Road, you have the calm oasis of the Mill Road cemetery, full of wildlife and history and the most amazing blossom if you are here in the spring. Along the other side of Mill Road, you can visit both the Fancett’s Bistro and the Fin Boys fish restaurant, each nationally recognised as an excellent place to eat out! But make sure that you make your reservation there when you book your stay here; a table is sometimes hard to come by!
And all these treats are all so close to the house, even before your guide book to Cambridge kicks in!
