Nestled on a private wooded lot, Lakin' Reel Memories offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort for an unforgettable getaway. With panoramic water views, a spacious layout, and peaceful privacy, this 6-bedroom, 4-bathroom retreat sleeps up to 21 guests, making it ideal for family gatherings, reunions, or group vacations.  The huge bunk room has 4 queen size bunk beds which sleep 8 in this room alone!

Step outside and embrace lake life at its finest! Relax around the intimate setting of the outdoor firepit, engage the kids in some  yard games or enjoy the private dock perfect for fishing, swimming, or simply soaking up the sun. The dock offers approximately 4.5 feet of water depth and is equipped with 4 kayaks and 2 SUP's (Stand-Up Paddleboards).  NOTE: There are SOME lifejackets available for use, however, we do NOT guarantee fitment.  All guests are responsible for bringing their own life jackets to ensure fit.  Lifejackets may be purchase from  many local vendors or may be borrowed from the local Coast Guard Auxilliary. By the way, if you enjoy hanging out at the dock at night you'll love the mesmerizing underwater fish light which might give you a glimpse of "The Big One" swimming by!  And in case "The Big One" pulls you in you can always shower off in the lakeside outdoor shower!  :)

Come inside; the fully stocked kitchen, complete with a large island bar and stunning water views, is perfect for preparing meals while staying connected with family and friends. Gather around the cozy fireplace in the evenings, surrounded by comfortable and rustic décor that makes you feel right at home. The walk-out basement is a hub of fun with a Smart TV and Legacy Arcade System (for the inevitable rainy days!) and space to unwind. Stay connected with high-speed Starlink internet, ensuring that even while you’re tucked away in this peaceful haven, you have access to the world when needed.  There's also an EV Charger available for the complimentary charge before you head home!

Reminder:  All homes under management with Lake Gaston Vacation Rentals use linens that are prepackaged and sanitized for your protection.  This extra measure in sanitation has been in place since COVID, and it ensures you are staying in the cleanest and safest environment that we can provide.  We also guarantee that you are not sleeping on a bed where other guests have brought their linens from their own beds reducing the likelihood of bed-bugs, mites, chiggers, etc.  There is a linen fee that will be charged at checkout for your linen package.  You will also be charged a cleaning fee for cleanup after your stay.

To get you started...

The bathrooms are stocked with courtesy soaps and shampoos designed for quick "off the shelf" use.   Each bathroom has a roll of septic-friendly toilet tissue as a starter. You are encouraged to bring whatever you feel you might need beyond the courtesy items provided.

The kitchens are stocked with one roll of paper towels, one trash bag for the kitchen trashcan, trial-size dish soap, two dishwasher pods and 1 brand new sponge!  You are encouraged to bring whatever you feel you might need beyond the courtesy items provided.

A few more tid-bits...  :)

1.  Trained service animals are welcome!  Otherwise, we have a strict "no pets" policy.  We can help arrange lodging for your pets at a local boarding facility during your stay. Please let us know well in advance, as they fill up fast.

2.  The house, like 99% of all lake homes on Lake Gaston, uses a septic system.  This system is a finely balanced biological system.  Please help us keep it working flawlessly by flushing ONLY toilet paper.  Renters are responsible for any damage caused by misuse.

3.  Bow-Riders and deep draft Wake Board boats need to check their Hummingbirds to ensure adequate depth in all coves.  Pontoons should have no issues and everyone is welcome to tie off at the dock with rental boats. Please make sure to bring your bumpers!.

4.  Culverts & Bridges:  Be sure to lower your Bimini top when going under bridges or through culverts on different areas of the lake.  Appearances can be deceiving, and the water levels can flucuate daily!

5.  Life Jackets: While a variety of life jackets are provided, they are not guaranteed in every size. Please bring life jackets specific to individual needs.
