Location is far from City. Recreational activities are limited in hotel. Taxi service from Kathgodam railway station to hotel was 1500+ GST. Nainital day trip from hotel was 2500+GST.

We had a very disappointing experience with our stay at Sterling Nainital. 1. The room was just about average and lacked both the appeal and amenities of a premium resort 2. There are not many facilities and activities within the property, such a swimming pool, which are generally available in other such properties 3. The lighting inside the room is not sufficient If you take note of the reviews on other popular booking sites, you can see similar concerns expressed by many other guests as well. This is very unbecoming of a brand as popular as Sterling. The problem is more to do with the management and less with the service of the staff (We did not have any issue with the service provided by on ground staff). It is overpriced for below average facilities, makes the guests feel like Sterling took advantage of the brand name while not delivering the expectations.

Nothing.. the breakfast was okay

We booked premium room but they gave a room in another nearby building which was supposedly a part of the hotel..the room was small and dingy, all linens dirty.. the chairs was the old and tattered and the sofa bed they gave was dirty with trash underneath if you try to unfold it.. horrible experience.. waste of money.. it's more like a 2 star hotel not at all worth the price they have set..
