Grand view motel was a great stop gap for us on our journey to Vancouver. We are a family of 3 and found that the motel had everything we needed and more. The staff were extremely friendly and our son loved the cat!! The rooms were super clean and the outdoor areas (which include bbq areas, seating and a pool!) were extremely well kept. We were extremely surprised how quiet it was at night despite being close to the road. Rooms were well equipped with everything we needed including toiletries.

If I had to pick one minor thing. The bed nearest the door in our room the mattress was sagging - defo time to replace. However our son slept on this bed and was comfortable so didn’t affect our stay. The other bed was extremely comfortable and we all had a great nights sleep.

Room smelt of smoke but clean and comfortable.

Communication was excellent, and plans were made ahead of time for late arrival. Room was comfortable and clean. We were just there for the night while passing through, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Location was great and it was very quiet. Family run with.pride, and it shows.

We were on the main floor, and neighbour upstairs was a little heavy in the foot, so we heard them moving about.

I book because the pool and when I arrived I was informed the pool was broken, very disappointed! not even a discount was offered.

Comfortable and clean in a decent location with plenty of amenities nearby.

A warning about the filming taking place on site would have been appreciated as this caused a minor disturbance.

Was informed that there may be a sugar ant problem in our room as it was a pet room. We were told that we could move if it became a problem. It was not an inexpensive room so I’m not sure why they couldn’t have just given us a room without this issue. I did see a few ants but didn’t want to make a fuss so we just stayed where we were. Also the heat was difficult to regulate and we eventually gave up trying. Wish comforters or a bit heavier bedding or even and extra blanket was provided in the room.

Cozy & well laid out unit. Manager was really friendly, and it’s a 5 minute drive to all the restos / groceries / gas etc you might need. We loved Sahali Dongtak Korean Chicken!!

They bent over backwards to make me feel at ease. I was super anxious after having driven over the mountains in -30 weather. A daughter of one of the owners came to my room three times to show us how to adjust the heat and deliver extra blankets and a utensil we needed.

Was okay for one night for just a stop over but wouldn’t spend more time here.

The bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly as there was some hair from previous people. It’s all pretty old and outdated. And you can hear upstairs people walking and moving a lot. Around 5am in the morning someone started knocking at a couple of doors. Pretty strange

It was well maintained and clean. The location is centrally located but quiet. The beds are comfortable and the bedding is warm.

The staff were super nice. We traveled with a small dog, usually pet friendly rooms are stained and smelly, but our room was sparkling clean. There is a nice neighborhood to take your dog for a walk in just across the street too. Also has a bus stop just a few feet from the parking lot entrance. Best value for money I have experienced,!

Great stopover from Vancouver to the Rockies. Motel set up with comfy beds and great view. Walking distance of town centre and nearby restaurants. Useful if you want a beer after a long drive. Very helpful and pleasant lady on front desk.
