The location is really central and the common area of the hostel is also nice.

Our bedroom had a bed full of random things on top like papers, old medicine, bottles, and many other things I can't even name. In a corner of the bedroom there was a giant pile of clothes of someone we didn't know. By the way that bed was it seemed like all those weird things were there for a long time. I get that those could be other person's things, but the room smelled so bad, I think the hostel management crew could have asked the guest to do something if that wase the case. Unfortunately I had a bad experience.

The bed was comfortable, the room ok and quiet. Staff are friendly and helpful.

The shower had no pressure, and the area is to be avoided until government stops failing its citizens.

The staff were really friendly, we arrived super early but were able to chill in the common area/lounge. This is better than the photos, lots of comfy seats and some nice and private. Kitchen facilities were really good. Lots of equipment and spices for cooking. Lots of space too. Breakfast was brilliant - bagels, pancake mix, eggs, fruit, tea and coffee

We had a double room with private bathroom. All the rooms seem to back onto the lounge area. Whilst people respect the quiet time from 10pm to 7am, there were people on zoom meetings from 7am each day we were there which we could hear through the walls and did wake us up.

The place was nice and cool. The staff was friendly. The beds were comfortable. The hotel is in a good location ose to city center.

The only thing was that the space for the bathroom was kind of small. However the bathroom was kept very clean. The location close to city center meant there are lots of homeless people in the streets close by.

Well... As for me, I liked the only clean kitchen, and the privacy in the room (each bed has curtains). Breakfast is OK if you were able to get it (from 7 am to 10am). A good thing is if you cold, you can get extra pillow and/or a blanket for free because they are available in the hallway.

There are a lot of people who live there for months. Some of them are also working in this hostel. That's why you will not be able to get any rooms/beds on the first floor or in the basement even if you placed a special request in your reservation. There are also some marginalized people who are looking for free food, dating and overall empathy from others. There is no elevator and because of this fact, a carpet on stairs is old, smells badly and dirty. During the night time you will be bothered by the people who live in this hostel but who are spending time outside (they smoke, laughing and talking loudly). The Front desk is not willing to handle it. Check immediately final price for your stay because you can be charged more money than when you placed your reservation. Otherwise, you will not get any (even mistakenly charged) refund.

The breakfast was quite nice, you can make pancakes, omelette, toast, bagels... Coffee and tee... Cool living room and kitchen with tv. Location is quite good, although the neighborhood looks sometimes a big crippy because of the homeless kinda close by. The personal is very nice and helpful, always there too! The bed also got a curtain and a small shelter to put your things up there.

The room cannot get properly vent because the window was almost impossible to keep it open...maybe they should add some blocks so people can keep them a big open from time to time... and the smell was strong due to the very old carpets... I think...

Location: Best thing about Adelaide Hostel is its location. Located in the heart of SFO downtown, you can easily explore the city by foot. Facilities: They have a working kitchen downstairs where you can store your groceries. They also serve free breakfast in the morning. When it comes to storage, you can leave your luggage after check out for a maximum of 10 days. They also have a lobby which is very cozy. Cleanliness: The hostel is clean and well maintained. Bathrooms and restrooms are clean. They have regular cleaner staffs. Staff: Very friendly and accommodating. Special thanks to PJ and Cody who made sure my stay was excellent. I highly recommend this hostel. Worth the value of your money considering this is San Francisco.

The free breakfast was diverse and filling and the were lots of study cubicles, fee WiFi access, and a TV to watch the world cup games.

There was one (and only one) foul-mouthed and always aggressive staff member who kept me on edge. He was always complaining about some of the residents and even threatened violence towards them once. I had a upper bed whose privacy curtain kept falling down.. It could get cold at times in the dorm esp. If people opened the window.

This is in downtown SF, we had a small double room with bathroom for one night and were quite happy with it. The host is very helpful and accommodating. As there are so many people from different countries staying there, there are rules that everyone must follow. Those rules are clearly declared and it seems that no one has a problem following them. The best thing was the breakfast and meeting and talking to other guests. You pretty much make your breakfast yourself and then eat at a table. There was plenty of staff to make sure that supplies were there and also to keep it more or less tidy. This hostel has guests from all over the world, which makes staying there an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere of sharing and getting along (no matter where you are from or what you look like) pervades the whole hostel. :-)

Location is central but not the best and cleanest area. It's a bit dark inside the hostel, even during the day.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. And the people who stay here are very friendly. I would stay here again.

Excellent Hostel, very nice room, excellent breakfast, wonderful common room like a five star hotel, staff at the reception really helpful and attentive, very good place for visiting San Francisco.

I forgot to lock the locker where my suitcase was and somebody of the cleaning ladies opened it and my suitcase and left it out, on the floor. Luckily she couldn't steal anything because money and other valuables weren't there. The upper bunk bed is hard to climb because the ladder is very steep.
