The location, the fireplace, the five minute walk to Lake Ontario, and the chocolates left for us by Sandra..what a nice touch!
Also, Sandra offered us a Christmas tree and her timely replies to our questions were much appreciated.
The wifi was horrible and a table in the eat-in kitchen would have been really nice…

The Cottage was lovely, with lots of room to move about and everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were. Great water pressure in the upstairs shower, (which I used) which is brand new with 3 shower heads and more than enough towels for everyone. We were a party of 6, and the house was fully stocked with plenty of dishes, glasses, pots and pans. The location was amazing and the neighbourhood friendly and safe. Although we cooked for ourselves most of the weekend, there were several restaurants and pubs close by. We had lunch at "The Sand Trap" which was within walking distance and the prices were reasonable and it offered plenty of choice. We had some rain and drove both to the restaurant for lunch and into town for groceries - both were less than a 5 minute drive, although the neighbourhood and scenery was so beautiful you wanted to drive slower to have a good look around.
There really wasn't anything that we didn't like, the only con was that it would have been nice to have another table in the kitchen for surface space and perhaps because of all the rain the basement was a little musty - a dehumidifier might help. Everyone in our party was happy with the accommodations and said they would not hesitate to return.

Location. Host responsive to communication via text when we needed them. Proximity to lake and NOTL - incredible. Home is very clean and comfortable. Would absolutely recommend!
Mattress in main floor bedroom facing the back desperately needs a new mattress.
Mirrors in each bedroom would be very helpful.
Tub mat for bathroom in the basement would make it safer.
Some oil for the squeaky bedroom and bathroom doors would ensure everyone sleeps through the night. ;)

Westwood cottage was a lovely place to stay. It suited our needs because we were doing winery visits and there is many on that side of NOTL. It isn't walking distance to the main part of town if that is important but it is very close.
It had everything we needed and lots of space to be comfortable. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Nice comfortable cottage. Clean and well appointed. Located on the edge of town a short walk to the lake, and walkable to town. Parking for 2 cars. Owner was promptly responsive to questions and helpful when needed . We could have stayed longer and would happily return. Thanks,

We really enjoyed the cottage and the location. We met so many nice people and a short walk to the lake revealed a spectacular sunset. We would definitely rent again and recommend to others.

Honestly the property was excellent. One thing we would note is that the beds were squeaky/noisy so a bit tough getting a good sleep.

The house was clean, great layout and washrooms were beautiful.
Not a lot of negative aspects to this place. We would recommend it to others as well as go back!
The few things are really minor. Bed mattresses need to be replaced. They we’re creaking at every movement. A few additional things seem to be missing to make our stay more comfortable: Kleenex, coasters and table mats (the tables were wood and we were afraid to damage them), beach towels.
